As requested, a ADATS Bradley version (like the ADATS prototypes) WIP
The model has 1.2k points and 2.3k faces. I used Wings-3D for construction plus UV-unwrap (no bump- and specmaps included atm). I plan a release in ~2 weeks with an alpha version for tests (incl. bump- and specmaps, AT / AA weapon loadout, M240 for close range defense underneath the left side launchers, BLUFOR / RACS / OFP-style textures). The final release should include a more detailed model. I plan to release binarized and unbinarized version for other modders. have fun, mike This post has been edited by modEmMaik: Mar 14 2009, 17:59 |

I love you man
Still, I don't think you should give them to BLUFOR since US Army don't use them (Well, I trust Wiki for this one) -------------------- This is my totaly useless signature Lazyness = mc² |

Well... let's say, BLUFOR stole them and put their camo on it
The textures will be examples only, because they will be placed via setObjectTexture and will be avilable for more sides on Warfare / CTI etc. btw.: When project RACS continues it's very good progress, BLUFOR and OPFOR will be definitly in the need for heavy anti air |

not bad for a wip, but the missiles launchers have too much faces, and don't forget the hard edge stuff
keep it up -------------------- |

Check on the canadian ground army website. This post has been edited by niambag: Mar 16 2009, 02:54 |

I agree, but I have no corresponding M113 or Lav III model available atm. Vilas will release a LAV model soon, where the ADATS can be adapted. Also a stationary defense system is used in far east, so the model can be adapted to a container model later for a stationary warfare / CTI defense. But first I plan to finish the ADATS prototype, which was based on a M2AX chassis. |

nice work ModEmMaik you thinking of doing a M113 with it on Actually not. The M113 seems heavily modified. But it also seems that DKM already did the M113 ADATS for OFP, but never released it. Would be a good idea to request the DKM model and add those elements to a sample M113. I am already starting the follow up project (M48A3 Patton tank). The ADATS was just a test to check Wings-3D for the M48 project. I hope to release the ADATS alpha version end of this week. Some ingame pics of the OFP-style version: This post has been edited by modEmMaik: Mar 23 2009, 22:54 |

Test have resulted in disabled hitzones for the gun and turret (vez and zbran are missing in the hit-points LOD)
I will fix this in the next release (beta). Actually I am unwrapping the M2A2's textures to improve the quality and get the model to ArmA standards (ADATS and M2A2 plus a Linebacker version). Release when ready (might take some weeks). Sorry, mike |

I can't find this thing anywhere in the Editor. Not under BLUFOR or Empty. I'm using ACE but have the classes __visible in the client side config. All I see is a category in the Editor named Smurfc but that's the other M2A2 released last month. Do I need to use the repl file that comes with the DL? I thought that was just a replacement file and not necessary if not wanted.

I thought that was just a replacement file and not necessary if not wanted. Sorry Manzilla, You need the xxx_repl.pbo, because it includes the supported weapons. The basic ADATS included the VikhrLauncher, using a mag of 12 rockets. That is why I have decided to hide the basic config. The "m2a2" (which is a M2A0... I have mixed up the designations...), was equipped with the BMP's gun in the basic config, where the only real issue was the tracercolor. I will unhide it, with the beta release. If you want make it visible, simply place vehicleClass = "PirSmurfC_ERA_110_Armor"; into the config instead of vehicleClass = ""; But it is civillian-sided... at least you should be able to place the empty vehicle on the map.
