Hi, seems that the Mass Effect 2 is here, and also seems that many games magazines give it a good score or their reviews. Okay, lemme say this. I lost confidence in the video game industry somewhat over the years because they were decreasingly able to come up with innovations and seemed to completely resort to moneymaking. In earlier times, I bought maybe ten good games a year and nowadays it's possibly two or three (last year: Drakensang, ArmA2 and Dragon Age Origins). - Mass Effect 2 (Introduction to the game's background). When i see a bit of the game once it be released... it may be the next game that i buy, seems to be the best Sci-Fi game out there. Let's C ya But Mass Effect 2 is awesome. I've spent an hour in the campaign now and my jaw fell open the entire time. The role play elements are somewhat difficult to manage and so is the control, but the amazing graphics, the atmosphere and the epic story do really make up for that. -------------------- |

Well Wipman, played beta, and have to say firstly it is a big improvment phyics + graphics, plus gamemodes do add an extra dimension, but i did get a slight feeling that it fell down the nasty ofp2 canyon. Hopefully the full game brings on more improvments, but sadly those younger one's seemed to get a hold of it and yes as you so eligantly put it, i was kind of hopeing they'd be drowned in the kitchen Sink . Well Alien Vs Predator is out couple of weeks so isuppose the stress of online immaturaty and be taken out on those poor colonial marines .

Hi, a big reason to think in buy the Battle Field Bad Company II, M1A SOCOM II 16", i've seen it on another gameplay trailer.
- Battle Field Bad Company II (Game play). The M1A SOCOM II is at the 34secs of the video (after the Mass Effect II comercial) and damn it, that makes me want to buy the game; i've been awaiting years to play with one of those, i didn't seen it on the OFP, i didn't seen it on the ArmA, i don't gonna see it on the ArmA2 (because i don't gonna buy it) so my only chance to play with one of those jewels of the modern era, is to buy the BFBC2 and kill kids ala "John Wayne Gaisse's style". Im in love of that damn rifle, so i gonna have to try the demo of that arcade. About the Mass Effect 2, i also think (looking at the videos and trailers) that the game is a improvement over the previous tittle, at least in graphics, the gameplay and the interns seem to have evolved a bit too, that thing of customize the armour is pimp as a Firebird Formula 454 from the 73', and the new characters look interesting, after play the first tittle... i'll like to know how the history has evolved and what comes next after beat up Sareen and his robofreaks fellas plus the reapers, i think that as Sci-Fi game of this days the Mass Effect 2 could be the best one that we gonna see this year; they said that they're working already on the 3Rd and last part, and then they gonna move on to other things. There are rumours of a multiplayer role playing game on the Mass Effect universe, but there isn't anything official about it. Who knows... . Hi, the people of Battlefront.com seem to be working on a new Combat Mission, this time... Combat Mission: Afganistan. From the 80' to the 87', looks insteresting.
- Combat Mission: Afganistan. Looks good, i wonder if they gonna include CIA operators to recreate so milestone missions like that one of poison the Kabul's water supply and blame the russians, thing that didn't worked and the afgans called: The Great Betrayal. They haven't forget that CIA operation, will be pimp to recreate it in the ArmA too. Anyways... that new CM: Astan seems interesting. Let's C ya -------------------- |

Concerning Assassin's Creed II...
QUOTE Link Seriously, what the fuck? When we heard of Ubisoft's plan to require an internet connection for all their future PC games, we hoped they'd abort it or scale it back in the face of the outrage and astonishment it caused. They haven't, and it's here. Details are below. We've just received Assassin's Creed 2 and Settlers VII for review, and verified with Ubisoft that the DRM is the same as the boxed product. If you get disconnected while playing, you're booted out of the game. All your progress since the last checkpoint or savegame is lost, and your only options are to quit to Windows or wait until you're reconnected. The game first starts the Ubisoft Game Launcher, which checks for updates. If you try to launch the game when you're not online, you hit an error message right away. So I tried a different test: start the game while online, play a little, then unplug my net cable. This is the same as what happens if your net connection drops momentarily, your router is rebooted, or the game loses its connection to Ubisoft's 'Master servers'. The game stopped, and I was dumped back to a menu screen - all my progress since it last autosaved was lost. Ubisoft asked us not to post shots yet, so here's my artistic impression of the screen you're dumped to. Ubi have asked that we not show screenshots of Assassin's Creed 2 on PC, so here's my best MS Paint illustration of what you'll see. Even if everyone in the world had perfect internet connections that never dropped out, this would still mean that any time Ubisoft's 'Master servers' are down for any reason, everyone playing a current Ubisoft game is kicked out of it and loses their progress. Even massively multiplayer games aren't so draconian about the internet: you can't play when the server's down, but at least you don't lose anything for getting disconnected. I had been excited about the late release of AC2, but I'm not going to buy it now. PERIOD. And if I wasted the 60 bucks on it, I'd immediately go for the crack the hacking community will ultimately come up with anyway. Who do these people think they are? The game industry is so fucked up nowadays, it is beyond me how low the old-established studios have sunk. Yes, computer piracy is a problem but it's not like the devs or their masters would live hand-to-mouth or is it? Honest customers are the ones they screw with, not those who load black copies of video games. Now the folks over at Ubi Soft might say "Well, you better ought to be angry at pirate bay and co.", but I'm not. What's coming next? Are they going to require facial identification via permanent webcam connections so I can play the effing game? I'm beginning to be disgusted with the Web 2.0 era. -------------------- |

They say it's because PC games are getting pirated, and those for console aren't really getting pirated (yet), yet I can get every console game I want just as easily as I can get games for PC. Completely free of charge, completely free of DRM. DRM is not discouraging piracy, it is encouraging it. If the people calling the shots at giants like EA, Activision and Ubisoft had ever been involved in actual game development, they would have known about it, but as the game developing geniuses have all long since sold their souls to share holders and venture capitalists, all these companies are run by accountants and marketing directors that have zero clue about the difference between physical stealing and pirating an IP. Just look at the "You wouldn't steal a car"-movie that they put at the start of DVDs. Most countries do not even have laws for digital data copied and distributed through non-physical means (networks), and are only just starting to define what it even means. The closest thing the courts could compare this too were very limited cases against hacking, completely different, and even those they couldn't even handle very well as the judges were complete novices on the subject.
Also, a pirated DVD most often doesn't have 35+ seconds of senseless ranting that usually can't be skipped, they just discard it when ripping to save disc space ... DRM, and "don't do piracy" messages only affect genuine users. Completely counter-productive. -------------------- |

New X-Com game announced
2K, if you f*ck this up, I will f*ck you up. More importantly, why are they making an X-Com shooter? Hasn't that been tried, and not worked? What was wrong with the original formula! -------------------- The Rules - Nothing too complicated, follow these and we'll have no problems.

Hi, there's an incoming RPG game that is suppossed to be released at some point on the 2011, the Path Of Exile, the game is a Diablo style online RPG being made by a New Zeeland company; and you don't gonna belive this... IT'S FREE!!!.
- Path Of Exile (Gameplay Video). I hope that they do a good job with the game and they've said that they want to avoid a WOW thing or sh*t like that; i want to play to that game when it's done. Other great game that i think that worths the money, is the Blood Bowl... i'd painted the miniatures many years ago along with the WH40K ones and many other RPG/Fantasy based miniatures and it was a fun board game that play with the fellas; beat up those dirty queer cheaters (aka elves) with a good humans team, play soccer with the dirty gobblins and halflings.. and run behind the skavens to try to break his legs Moai Thai style to get the ball. For those of you that don't know the game... is a Rugby based board game and i repeat, is very fun to play with friends, you can have a good time laughing of each other's teams and strategys. - Blood Bowl (Videos). We're awaiting to buy the Legendary Edition with the original board game's races like the Undead... Mummies... etc, i miss to be beaten up by the Vampires and their dirty tricks, and it gonna be fun; the game rightnow only have 9 races and it's fun, but with the original races... that gonna be really good, seems that the realease price of the LE will be arround 40€ here (in spain...) and looks to be a good price for this little turn based or real time game. I hope to be able of grab booth when they be released, they seem good games to me. Let's C ya -------------------- |

Hi, seems that Codemasters strikes back with another Operation Flashpoint, this time called Operation Flashpoint: Red River. I don't spect anything good from 'em overall after had taken a quick look at their last Operation Flashpoint... the graphics on this one seem to be much better but that's all what i can say from the video, apart of that... also looks linear; but haves an interesting concept that could be as bad as good... the option of develop a soldier class to choose between: Soldier, Recon, Grenadier and Autorifleman.

Same console platforms, see? Let's not forget all that almost all the publicity material for Dragon Rising was pre-rendered, with almost no resemblance to the finished game. You know, Tajikistan looks an awful lot like Afghanistan, rather than, well, you know, Tajikistan. -------------------- The Rules - Nothing too complicated, follow these and we'll have no problems.

The idea of "Afghanistan" that you have is probably more appropriately defined by the word "Helmand". There are many different kinds of environments and climates in Afghanistan.
