Depends what your looking for, JG spetz is the gun my local hires out and having used it it's a nice wee gun and well built (managed to survive my 13st. landing on it with no damage, though I don't recommend testing that.) reasonably accurate with a reasonable range for the gun's size. Kar98 all I can say is that I can't see it being much use from a skirmishing point of view due to the cartridge ejection. Edit: Also, considering your age, and your location info provided on the forums I'd like to enquire as to how you plan on buying a gun? Considering it is illegal for some one under 18 who is not a bona fide skirmisher to buy/be sold an airsoft gun in the UK... Atleast here in Finland, you can walk into an AS store and buy a gun if you're under 18 but have a written permission... other option is that the small fella walks into a store with his parents.
The cartridge system on the Kar98 might prove to be a bit difficult... the amount of ammo carried, spare cartridges and finding all the cycled ones. Realistic though and if you're aiming for a German loadout (or, a more general Sniper loadout), great gun. If you learn to use it effectively you'll surely have little trouble with semi-automatic rifles, as you'd be used to laying accurate single shot fire on the enemy. If the JG gun is modelled after Tokyo Marui Beta Spetznaz, based on what I've read I can only recommend it. The thing might look a tad odd and unrealistic, but is quite handy due to its size, can be used as a project gun and is generally considered fairly indestructable. I recall reading some guy accidentally dropping it into a ditch full of water, after which he picked it up and continued firing straight away... on another incident a Beta Spetznaz was laying on hard soil road when a Volvo accidentally reversed over it (think of the Magpul PMag endurance tests and you'll get the idea)... no damage done AFAIK, apart from maybe the charging handle. The newer JG series is considered to be some of the best AS guns made in China, and their Marui clones are often praised and considered almost parallel to the original products. Lost the deal on the OD Pantac WSH chestrig, now trying my chances on a CB one that has few pockets coming with it... priced 80 euros with an Admin pouch, 2 Double M14 pouches and a Large Medic pouch... should be able to bring the price down to less than 50 euros without the pouches. Hornet, on the pic showing the Strike Systems vest, is that a Wasatch on the right? Sure looks like one with the integrated mag pouches. Nay luck with missing the deal, on the JG note, some of their recent stuff: The Mosfet'd full metal M4's and full metal n wood AK's as sold at Land warrior have been comended as being near if not better quality than a marui by some of the folk at section 8 and asylum up here, if you ignore one or two small teething problems.

A guy in my ArmA clan want's to start airsoft, he's from Spain and luckily there are a lot of places to play there. Since he wants to start, he should buy a "newbie" weapon or whatever he wants?
In the last case, he's thinking about buying a G36E (the model that Spain uses). Since he's knew, he doesn't know a lot about the companies who sell the "guns", just that Chinese ones are crappy but Japanase and Taiwanese make good ones. Just that. Doing a little search he found that Tokio Marui only has the G36C, then is Classical (more expensive) and finally is the Chinese Jing Gong, which looks like the best Chinese company. This has the G36E, but he is worried about the quality. Looks amazing though Hornet, damnit, wish we had airsoft in Oz. What? Tip yout boots three times and wish for an airsoft course, maybe that works. |

JGs are generally Okay in my experience the JG36C is one of the most popular guns out...

If he's interested he's really better searching himself. The G36 variants that JG do have good write ups all round however as with most chinese brands he should get himself a decent battery and smart charger as the ones that come with the gun aren't the most reliable.

I'm just helping him, that's all.
And after you, and another guy in the clan said, he's going for the JG G36. And I would buy that too, the G36 is a beautiful, and realiable, weapon. |

The newest deal I'm after. Proud Lightweight Plate Carrier (OD) with some pouches, a Guarder MOD Backpack (WL, with a 3-liter bladder) and Bollé X-800 goggles. Trying to get the price to around 80 euros, that is, similar to some high-end copy vests. Should provide a nice all-around set... the vest itself is yet another Wasatch copy, similar to the ones I was dealing for before. Also... finally went softing for real, last Sunday. Provided are 2 picture galleries from the 24.05. games at Pirkanmaasoft's Decon area... if you look closely you're able to find me in both. http://pirkanmaasoft.kuvat.fi/kuvat/Decon+24052009/ http://pirkanmaasoft.kuvat.fi/kuvat/2009+0...con+-+NumbNuts/ -------------------- Hakkaa päälle Pohjan poika!

Should be getting cammies and stuff soon in preparedness for Andy's impending visit and attendance at the FIBUA site.
