What is the 1stCav?
We are a tactical military realism unit that focuses on real Army tactics, structure, & teamwork. We support AA, COD4, BF2 & ArmA. We have our own professionally created website & forum which you can visit at http://1st-cav.us

Why join?
As a soldier in the 1st Cavalry Division you will enjoy the benefits of a 100 man Ventrilo server as well as two ArmA servers. One for the public and one for operations. We have a custom made missions being run every week to boot. As a soldier in the 1st Cav you have opportunities for advancement, medals, ribbons and more if you work hard and are dedicated! There are also professionally made signatures created for each member of the Cav. In the 1st Cavalry Division you will be treated with respect and maturity. We see every member as a person not a number like many of the large realism units.

Who will you serve with?
You will be joining 72+ other members from the United States, Canada, UK, and more ranging from 16 years of age and on. We have active & former US military personnel including our Commanding Officer, LTCOL. Woodrum, a former US Army Tanker who served in Desert Storm & Bosnia. He is a REAL former 1st Calvary Division member!

Do you have what it takes to join the Cav?

Games: Working copy of ArmA+Queens Gambit expansion
Time requirement: at least 6 hours a week!

We now have a 2nd platoon opened up. I am in charge of 1st platoon, and I'm not really sure about the person heading 2nd. Don't be shy in signing up. Be aware though: Officer ranks aren't handed out like candy. I was lucky to get 1st lieutenant because of interfacing with the commander and giving my experience.

The 1st Cavalry Division is still recruiting mature,tactical minded players to enlist in our ranks. We are looking for players who like to practice real life military tactics and don't mind having a US Army rank system and chain of command. We consist of the 2nd Battalion, 8th cavalry in which we have a Infantry Platoon for those of us who like to be the tip of the spear and get in deep in the action. We also have a Armor Platoon for those of you that like tanks and would love to take care of heavy enemy assets and get that adrenaline rush when you have alot of enemy armor surrounding your area and you only have a few seconds to make a decision or get blown away. We also have a Artillery detachment for those of you who like to pound the ground with artillery shells. We also just opened up our Avaiation Detachment which will be open to those who pass our flight school.

Our requirements for enlistment are:
- Must be at least 16 years of age

- Ability to commit six (6) hours a week

- Must have a functioning microphone

- Must have Xfire & Ventrilo installed

- Must have no prior PB Bans or any record of hacking or any illegitimate behavior
