Starting in cities gives low fps, Strange Options

when i start in a big city i have a fps of like 5 or so .. very strange

when i start outside and then move in the village i dont have that problem
im running the game with a Nvidia 6600GT .wich is not such a bad card i think ?

looks like your not the only one having this problem click me what are your other system specs?

I have a AMD Athlon 64 3700+
1024 MB RAM

ok i got it fixed.. i lowered the settings a litle litle bit .
and downloaded the newest forceware .. this is what fixed it !

I saw it running on:
A64 3.5GHz Venice
DFI LanParty Ultra-D Nforce4
2Gb Ram ddr400
Ati x800pro 256Mb overclocked

At: Full Detail,1200m viewdist 5/10 FPS ONLY PLAYER IN Editor Saharani

AA simply make half of the fps, even only changing from 0 to Low
AF is necessary or the textures will mutate infront of u like in OFP
SHADOW kill fps but without it GRASS looks crappy
DETAIL TEXTURE: below Normal seems OFP COLD WAR
TERRAIN DETAIL: dunno seem nothing change to me,no change on fps
OBJECT DETAIL: can tell u exactly like above but low a bit fps
POS PROCESS: nice make horizon look real and low fps a bit

if u turn general quality to NORMAL
(it seems to me it affects some parameters taht are could not be set manually in advanced options)
u can gain some FPS:
30 in desert, still 15 in cities (WOW!!! FAST!)
but something looks strange I can't see things clearly and the grass
give a glitch when u run that could make u feel a bit sick.

AND, NOTE THIS, add 10 enemies and everything slow down

If it is not a ATI Catalyst prob.. ARMA is starting really BAD

dunno what else, u can read a small review on primary topic.. I felt sad at first look of arma... I hope could be improoved in FPS and so on
