The Rifles Gaming Community are a British based tactical unit, using a mix of quality British and OPFOR hardware, locations and other misc addons. We employ a blend of gaming that borrows from real world tactics and what works in game. Expect a lot of fire and manouver, javelin missiles, close air support and painstakingly crafted, realistic missions.

Many of the Rifles GC are ex-members of the revered 23rd Ground Division, and as such have continued the tradition of Joint Ops with other units. We are currently hosting JOs with the 19th Light Division, and are also open to suggestions from other units.

Aswell as Armed Assault, most of our members play IL-2 1946, Company of Heroes and more.

Yes but it sounds Strange.

It should have been:
No, but you can donate if you want to help us

instead

sounds like "We will ask you to donate us all the time and if you don't we'll demote you".

I may just be paranoic but I know how "forced" donations end.

Obviously the server isn't free, someone ends up with the bill. But we only ask to donate if you feel like it. It's totally up to you, and donating will make no difference to how you get treated by the squad. I havn't donated anything yet! Do plan to soon though, i'm very grateful for those who run the server.

I'll ask the Lt about changing the wording. wink.gif

"It's a team effort" Basically the more people chip in, the easier it is for the one who get the bill every month. You are being a little paranoid.

Hello all, just thought I'd make a little update...

We're still on a recuiting drive, looking for any ArmA players looking for a friendly, welcoming, close-knit community, but also love the prospect of decent tactical co-ops on a regular basis.

That's right, we enjoy a laugh. However, in the field, we mean business. Whatever we set out to do, we make every effort to do it well. That's why we do the following:

1) Train in all aspects of the game; from driving armoured vehicles to piloting choppers.
2) Enourage our members to play to their strengths: Want to learn how to fulfill your ambition as a blackhawk pilot, step into our office and have some Rich Tea biscuits biggrin.gif, we'll give you the tools.
3) Encourage all our members to give 100%. Make new missions, suggest new ideas, and make us all laugh with terrible toilet humour.

Whether you're a regular gamer, or in full-time employment playing twice a month, we'll make you feel welcome and wanted.

If you're interested, feel free to pop on our forums or on our Teamspeak and have a chat with one of our members (but stay away from anyone called Griff biggrin.gif)

On the subject of donations, we would never 'expect' anyone to donate. However, we are all very grateful for Griff running and paying for the server and it doesn't hurt for a few of us tp chip in every month!

Hello everyone,

Long time no update.

RiflesGC is still alive and kicking! We have been busy on our servers playing lots of IL2 and ArmA. smile.gif

We are continuing work on our new website www.riflesgc.com, and are expanding our collection of missions.

We have also released a new addon pack, which has a compilation of many new weapons and features to spice up our missions.

A big thanks to [CAS]Daniel for all his work on reasearching and putting this pack together.

The link for the new addons is:

As always our teamspeak and game server is public, so feel free to pop on if you fancy a game!

Edit - To give you a rough idea of what gaming in RiflesGC is like. Here are a couple of youtube videos taken from both serious and fun missions:

Just a quick update.

The Rifles have updated their addons to accommodate fully equipped desert and woodland British Rifles infantry, the RAF Chinook, and other great addons such as Barbuda, FFAA Terrorists and more.
A full pack of all our used addons will be available soon.

We are also looking to fill 1 and 2 Infantry Sections, and are particularly on the look out for skilled pilots with an interest in rotary wing transport (troops and cargo), rotary wing CAS or fixed wing CAS.
Applicants will receive top quality training and learn to work with our Forward Air Controllers on the field.

And finally The Rifles are once again looking for Joint Operations with similar units (currently in talks with Sahrani Defence Force), please get in touch if you're interested. smile.gif

ISE may be interested at a later date but we're still working on getting our numbers up past 1 of 3 fireteams

The Rifles GC are currently on the look out for friendly, tactical joint ops with similar tactical units. Preferably from the UK/Europe but we have played with US and Australian units in the past.

We can create and host the mission, but are more than happy to play other units' missions and servers. We can also either use standard BIS units, compromise with a small addon pack with units of all parties or use our full 300MB pack.

If your unit is interested, please get in touch on the Allies section of our forums! smile.gif

How's ISE going Jynx?

Good to hear your looking for Joint - Ops, I'll probably drop you a line when I get back from my holiday regarding a joint op with the motley little bunch that we have pulled together.

Since our last post, the 19th Light Division approached us on our Joint Op offer, and we've since had two very successful missions, with the third to take place tomorrow evening.
The missions follow on as part of a loose but realistic storyline, where the previous mission detirmines the next. There has been very good communications between both units, and tomorrow night should see the introduction of fast air and cargo transport into the mix.

We also have JOs planned with AAF, ABG, and would love to get other European units in on the current campaign with the 19th.

~

The Rifles have slots available for players in European time zones with a good grasp of spoken English. Missions range from sneaky beaky gigs behind enemy lines to full on combined arms with other tactical units. Training consists of basic, where your skills are evaluated and our core methods are taught; group training such as fire and maneuver, section attacks and FIBUA; and further courses in rotary-wing aircraft, javelins, claymores, forward air controllers, signallers and more.

~

If you'd like to fight as part of one of the best established British units in ArmA, or if your unit wants in on Joint Operations with the Rifles GC, please post on our forums.

LCpl Daniel,
Rifles GC HQ Section
