My arma wont use the mods when i put them in the add on folder. I follw the install directions but when i go in to edit mode they are not there. Got any ideas??

Did you? Mods should be installed on ArmA root folder, not the AddOns folder.

If they are addons try some management;

Create a folder.
Within this folder make another called addons.
Put all addon files in here.
In your ArmA shortcut add this to the target line on the end; -mod=name of folder

If it is a mod same process, the mod folder goes into the root folder and the line -mod=mod folder name should be inserted intot he target line of your ArmA shortcut.

i did both of thos and it still wont find it?

You could just install the addons in your addons folder, if that is what your "mods" are (Difference between the two of them). And for it to work you have to copy and paste or move the files directly into the addon folder as they can't remain in the folder that addons usually come in. However If you want to choose which mods you want to use, unzip the files directly to the Arma file and change the file name to @"Mod's Name", then follow Wittmann's instructions. This should work.
