Compact USMC FOB - v2

I must say that I consider this more a new variation of the old base than an update.

If you liked the first one or maybe felt it was a little lacking on certain points. then i hope this will please you.

General info:

I hope this Setpos template is useful to you. I will continue to build and release bases improving as much as i can.

Being inspired by FOB's made by other people in the community I decided to put a little more effort in to what I've already done before I'll release any more bases.

The mayor changes are:

- Refurnished the Interior trying to make the base seem more realistic.

- Improved the ECP's making it possible for the AI to actually drive in and out of the base.

- A 100% add-on free version and a US Army version with ACE2

Overall Features:

- Guarded and occupied by Soldiers
- UAV
- Helipad (With FAARP and a Helicopter)
- 2 ECP's (drive able for AI)
- Mess hall for officers and soldiers.
- CASH (Combat support hospital)
- Static defenses
- Vanilla and ACE version

Additional info:

I have copy/pasted 2 tables with equipment attached from Soldier2390's great FOB templates (I was to lazy to position them my self)

Mmm, much less broken than my template. Cool.

Okay, I'm an ARMA editor idiot...so please go easy on me. helpsos.gif

First off, the screenshots look great! Just what I'm looking for.

How do I get this to work in a mission that I create (or one that I want to drop it into?)

And how would I position this on the map where I want it?

Thanks in advance,

Open the FOP mission in the editor.
Hold the left mouse key and take a frame around the complete FOB. With Copy and paste you can copy it then in your mission. (STR+C is copy and STR+V is paste) wink.gif

Thanks Imutep.

I was just on my way to the forums to beg forgiveness for such a noob question. I spent a lot of time yesterday with the editor (and YouTube videos) teaching myself "things".

My only issue with this FOB is that if I place more than a few of them around the map I get the "only 144 groups per side" error. Now, if I could only make each FOB it's own group (and is it all on the Civilian side if I do?) then I'll be in business. So, in the meantime, i've just been creating my own, smaller FOB that I can copy/paste around the map.

Thanks for not crushing me for asking such a small question about a big subject!

Regards,

Nobody gets crushed here. In addition, your question fits also on the subject. So feel free to ask. wink.gif
