Since I cant seem to find any topic dealing with the SLX mod, I'd just like to say thanks to the maker of this great mod biggrin.gif Its pretty does to Arma what the ECP mod did for OFP, and thats just great. I only ever played OFP with ECP once I started, its brilliant stuff.

So thanks very much biggrin.gif And please post comments on how you feel this mod is also.

The whole dragging bodies thing has to be one of the most awesome features. Just too damned cool dragging your buddy to safety!

One question I have before I try this out is are the colours changed at all in the overall environment? Just all the promo screens and user screens I've seen have a generally more pleasing colour scheme. Not sure if it is even possible to change that in Arma but it would make things 76 times better. There is a reason vid makers use colour correction in their movies and it's because arma colours are very ugly.

TankCommander, indeed, I don't think either that it would be possible. But anyway, no, the colours haven't been changed. The promo videos / screenshots you have seen must be edited.

Yeah that's what I thought. I only asked as I was more hoping that something like that could be achieved. As in a few other games they offer colour filters when in for example slo-mo or an indication of near death. To permanently apply colour correction to the game would be tops but the Arma engine wasn't really made for special FX.

I love this mod also. It's especially realistic since you can catch on fire and must roll around on the ground to put it out! naughty.gif

Only suggestion would be to fix the white smoke grenades that seem to cause a lot of lag sometimes.

Which is better this mod or the XAM mod I have both but don't do what to install (will the work together?)

No, they wont work together. Personally I prefer XAM because it comes up with lots of new units and new sound effects too.

Can you do the cool stuff like dragging bodies in XAM?

Hi i like this mod but one problem before i use this mod i set up soilders behind sandbags and get them to stay in kneel position and i disableai "move" and it works great they stay as i set them and defend position untill death. When i use the mod they do what they want stand up go prone even run away do i need to use a diffrent command with the mod thanks for any help. smile.gif

No, the mod's AI routines probably just override your code.

Not much you can do except for changing the mod, which is rather difficult unless you're good at it.

that is bad

if XAM and SLX can put together into one mod, i think that would be great. Like FFUR-SLX for operation flashpoint. drunk.gif

I've always thought the AI in SLX was coded to seek cover. From my experience they are smarter and look for buildings to take cover in or objects (or sandbags) to take cover behind.

Does anybody know if the developers of this mod are considering releasing another update?

Ive used both mods(XAM and SLX) and prefer SLX. SLX + Fromz sounds and its a great experience.

SLX has been a great mod ever since the age of OFP,haha.
Dose it can be used with other mod such as ACE and XAM?I've heard that the ACEmod also improved the AI performence and such like this.I don't konw whether it may cause clash If I use them together.
