To start off with, welcome to our topic and thank you are atleast considering us as a clan If you are interested in joining then there is some basic criteras that we require from our members. - Should be at least 16 years of age This is becuase there are some immature players out there in the gamming world and being of mature age is of high importance to us in the clan, acting like idiot whenever and whereever is fine in some circumstances, but when it comes to playing this game as a clan members, Teamwork, Cooperation and alertness is very important. - Must get along with EVERYONE in the clan We would like you to get along with everyone in the clan so that no problems will arrise later in our clan. - Must play trial games first This is kind of a test of your personallity, us in the clan do our best to enjoy playing with one another and we would first like to have a couple of games with you to understand what type of person you are and whether you should be accepted into the ABG, this will be carried out by the majority of the clans Veterans/Moderators. - Must be a Teamplayer You must be a teamplayer, everyone must be able to show they allow people to order them according to the role of the person they are getting ordered by. EG In our clan we have Section (squad) leaders and 2IC in a whole section, and those that are not of those roles must listen to their supperior roles. Notes: There are clans out there that run on Ranks, We are not that type of clan, we run strictly on the role that is being played ingame, once you have joined the Cadets of the ABG you can run to be a soldier. Different Groups In the ABG we are trying a new Approach, we have a certain set of groups that differentiate players depending on how they would like to play the game in this clan. Cadets This group is where everyone goes straight away untill they decide they would like to play the Soldier's way. Being a Cadet in the ABG only offers you team play at a limited level, we expect you to be a teamplayer and work with other people as best you can by communicating your actions and working off other players actions ingame, but it doesnt have benefits thats soldiers have, and its the benefits which encourage players to want to become a soldier in the ABG. So even at this level us Soldiers will encourage you to play tactically the way Soldiers would Soldiers A Soldier is a player that plays to our set rules and tactics when on the field, almost as if you are in the military, however we do take into account this is a game however there still is a strict form of playing we encourage to successfully complete objects on the field. We expect everyone to be in Infantry when you join the Soldiers Being a Soldier you require to: -Go through Infantry training Infantry training include: - Navigation Training - Target indications - Battle groups - Fire and Movement Procedure - Break Contact Procedure - Obs-Cross (Obstacle Crossing) - Section Formations - Basic Section attack - Ambushes (Not trained in that order) -Pass an onfield trail of what you learnt in training. (you may still pass even if you werent that good, we will notice your determination to want to play as a soldier) Notes: We would like to stress that if you become a soldier you choose to do so, this doesnt make you any better a person but makes you work with other people in a tactical Section using teamwork to its highest potential to get the job done. Benefits to being a soldier: - Tactical Gameplay with other people - Playing Campaign games within the clan (made up missions that relate together which get debriefed, Cadets will miss out on) - Playing in Joint Operations with other clans in the ArmA community (sometimes may be massive games!) - The possibility to play a support role and train with us in flying helicopters, Driving vehicles, using tanks (with/without a leading section aka Mechanised) and Proper Raytel in communicating to different sections/groups. More info once you have become a Soldier Once you are a Soldier, you will be a soldier (in infantry), regardless of what you really want to do, We encourage teamwork and having fun together and there is no better way, then being in a infantry section with your mates achieving your objectives together. The oppurtunity to become support will arise, but even then doesnt mean you will allways fly a helicopter or drive a tank, it means you could in certain missions, but you will always be in infantry. We also have a small group of moderators in the group to ensure that the Teamspeak, Server and Forums/Website run smoothly as always. Im terribly sorry for the long read but i hope this clan may be the right one for you and hopefully even if you dont join we can meet you on the field and have some games regardless Fill in Details Please post the following details if you agree with the above and would like to join the clan Name: (Gaming Name) Location: (Where you live) Age: (How old you are) Other clans: (other clans you have been in ARMA/OFP) Other information: (Other information about yourself you would like to share, dont have to) how did you find out about this clan?: (Well...? how did you find out?) And please post this information on our forums in the recuiting section and a soldier will contact you A.S.A.P with reagrds to your application. http://abg.jconserv.net/index.php Peace out and enjoy the ABG! -------------------- [mg]http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d194/Kapyong/kappyssigwx4.jpg[/img]
