I would like to see Team Razor sent to a different conflict... I know it has been done many times but i would like to see it in the middle east .. would love to see some iraqi villages and compounds with the new engine

My money's on something along the lines of resistance (NAPA or ChDKZ, probably the former).

Quite like the look of the Apache... but... Standalone? :wierd:
What does this mean for compatibility with vanilla ArmA stuff (or addons that inherit from it)? -------------------- The Rules - Nothing too complicated, follow these and we'll have no problems.

Really happy about the apache, finally we got one! To be set in central Asia, Takistan, which i imagine from the name & geographical location and of course from the two screenies would meen some dessert gear and map, hopefully, really looking forward to it. although standalone does bring up some question-marks but sure all will be made clear at the convention on the 19th were its showcased or some time in the future.

"standalone" means it stands alone since no one wants to buy it?

Dave, maybe it will be like Company of Heroes? If you had OF you could still play with people who had the original game they just couldn't use OF content even though their install had it due to patches. -------------------- -------------------- Heed my words or risk being beaten with a stick then fed to my associate D@V£ The Rules - Most places have rules, these are ours Read them! So, CoH patches installed the components of OF so you could play with people who had it, but were hidden to you?
That's something just mean. I don't like another happy adventure of Razor Team, I prefer a Russian viewpoint, or something with the Guerrillas, maybe a few years back when they were created. |

Too true, but at least it's not Marines again... says it's "coalition forces led by the US Army", so hopefully we'll see some other NATO troops! It wouldn't be "Arma 2" in that case. I believe it means that it's really just an optional addOn pack and not required for the future core game updates.

QUOTE Q: How performance will be compared to ArmA 2 and if the system requirements will stay the same? Also maybe ask if they have plans to further optimize ArmA 2?
A: Don't worry that we would throw it away because of making the datadisk. Thanks to the Arrowhead making I believe we will have a better chance too keep an eye on ARMA2 too. We plan to bring new patches and continue the support of the game as we did to the present day. The requirements should definitely stay the same for Arrowhead. |

Stand-alone means: You do not need ArmA 2!? That's true. Anyone who wants to play Operation Arrowhead only doesn't need ArmA II. Player who want to play Operation Arrowhead and ArmA II will be able to use every ArmA II content in Operation Arrowhead. In theory this means copying the ArmA II pbos into a mod folder for Operation Arrowhead. Time will tell if it'll be that easy. Anyway, mission designers will have to mark their missions what content is needed anyway. The good thing is, bug fixing related issues will be patched for Operation Arrowhead AND ArmA II! |
