Doesn't not having someone to blame sort of defeat the object of trying to blame someone, though?

Ugh, going back to nightshift...
Saturday will be hard yet awesome. 2030-0630 shift, then 0800-1200 is Aviation training - familiarisation with helicopters and their use in remote area operations. Worth the lack of sleep! -------------------- |

'Familiarisation' like in 'learning to fly that bugger', or how to get wounded on a stretcher on and off and stuff?
Well, back to the topic, I'm not sure that it was a false flag operation nor I'm involving US Goverment in the attacks, but I find it weird that they haven't found a perpetrator o a suspect yet, and the Yanks are fast and good at that short of thing, I mean finding suspects (but not necesary the actual culprit) and making FF Operations (I guess I don't have to give examples to this one, do I). I didn't mean to be offensive, by the way.Of course, seeing the amount of killing sprees that the poor fellas had been having, it could be also a unstable man or woman (but, the former is most common, somehow). Anyway, when it comes to conspiracy theories I cannot help but think of Occam's and Hanlon's Razor combined: never attribute to conspiracies that which can be explained by incompetence and if there is more than one possible explanation, always chose the one which requires the fewest assumptions. Sometimes police catch a murderer at large within the first 24 hours and sometimes they don't catch them within 24 years. There's no reason to assume the Boston attacker would stand out from that rule. And think of the many other events in history which powers failed to prevent or predict, like the fall of the Iron Curtain or Pearl Harbor. Sometimes I wonder if modern man's eagerness to see conspiracies everywhere isn't just a contemporary form of the superstitiousness of old. Back in the day when someone got murdered, a plague devastated the lands or a volcano erupted people referred to it as God's (or the Devil's) doing. Today they say it was Mossad or Obama. -------------------- |

No offense taken, by the way, the had two suspects now, one unidentified and a russian guy, who is on the run. The Yanks have a weird way of doing manhaunts.

Only that which does not happen now could tell if the manhunt was blown out of proportions... I for one wouldn't want to bump into that terrorist scumbag on the run.

RIGHT so Boston police were conducting a bomb drill with a write up identical to what actually happened prior to the attack. FBI were crawling all over the event prior to the attack and the public were told to "keep clam" over the PA system moments before the blast. Obama in both his addresses was angry and rushed his script. The bombers weren't middle eastern and were home grown losers in their own back yard.
SO...FBI knew before the attack, Obama chose not to go public. FBI messed up and didn't stop the attack in time, many died. FBI and Obama had to cover up their prior knowledge to avoid national scandal and probable impeachment. Over the top manhunt to kill suspects who could become lose ends to the cover up - 1 killed, other critical. easy -------------------- |

Actually Andi, I think I'm going to have to agree with your previous statement. Conspiracy theories are intrinsically left-wing, since calling their right-wing equivalent "theories" is degrading to the entire conception of a theory! Well, like it was said - firstly we've grown accustomed to it happening down there due to an abundance of unfortunate events in the Middle East. Secondly its only natural that terrorist attacks in the West mean to us more than they they do when they happen down there.
All conspiracy theories aside @Carver how are you doing? We were told you'd have been hurt while in London? -------------------- |

QUOTE So... let me get this straight, in the world in which you live, Chechens count as home-grown Americans, bomb drills are an obvious sign of an attack and the President is personally responsible for all crime? "Home-grown" as in they had lived and schooled in the US for a decade. Unlike a few middle eastern blokes on expired tourist visas. Either the FBI knew or the two guys are the unluckiest bombers in the history of terrorism. "Oh shhhh a bombs gone off!" "Its alright, we've got all the kit already here to deal with it" ... aaaand if Obama did know, chose not to go public and got caught out covering it up, it'd be the end of his presidency. I doubt the FBI would investigate a credible terrorist threat and keep the commander-in-chief in the dark. All politics is right wing. How successful you are depends on how left wing you can pretend to be. QUOTE Trust you Carver, ever the cynic! xD You know me x -------------------- |

QUOTE We were told you'd have been hurt while in London? I'm good buddy thanks Yeah i went to East London and nearly got shot by a black guy ... if ever there was an achievement to unlock lol House got robbed by three black guys with a beretta 9 series handgun. Got punched in the face a few times and picked up a hair line fracture on my left arm but its healing now. Tricked the guy holding me to go upstairs, locked him out and climbed out my second story window, over our roof and next doors, before letting myself down on the window ledges to raise the alarm. Felt all james bond like lol. SCO19 hit the place but the gunmen had fled. The met (london fuzz) hasn't found anything since and are pretty much as much use as sh*t Had the last laugh tho as the mobile and laptop they got away with don't work without being plugged in Hope your good your end and getting some of this sun? cheers -------------------- |

Loose mic out sound jack verses earthed radiator with said tower in the middle. Bright white flash, followed by that lovely plastic burning smell and a lick of flame shooting out the rapidly melting fan. New surge protector, heated up the fan and kinda pressed it back into shape and generally wiped off some of the mess and it started perfectly. By perfectly i mean it took about 26h to get the thing back to life but franken pc never dies!!
Having survived near electrocution and kissing a 9mm so far this year im now looking for a new third way of cheating death with blind luck. Maybe i should black up and try jumping the ticket booths on the underground? -------------------- |

Just remember that in life you cannot load an older savegame...
Eh, I just read that in Denmark many kids have been having unscheduled holidays for almost a month now since as many as 52.000 teachers must not give lessons anymore due to an unsettled wage dispute! Why didn't such a thing ever happen to me when I was a student? -------------------- |

QUOTE Just remember that in life you cannot load an older savegame... old skool ofp taught me well. As you run up the hill after the save point put a grenade at the base of the right tree, skirt right, grab the pk and dispatch the first guy on left and blokes on road to right before picking up ak and rpg for a mad dash to left hand bush to pick off the BMP ("Ambush" circa - OFP Demo 2001 baby) ha yeah good friend is a full time teaching assistant - she gets 8 weeks paid holiday over the summer ... (uk education system takes 8 - 12 week gap over summer) seriously in the wrong profession we are. Wonder if its wrong to teach primary school kids the art of war? edit: wouldn't normally give a shiz but no way am i posting this to facebook today lol -------------------- |
