A thread to challenge this forums intellect. I guess whomever comes with the correct answer recieves the next turn, similar to the guess the veicle thread. This is a place for not random questions, but riddles, for example "i man had 60 sheep" type jokes. Everyone knows a few, and there great to pass around the office or workplace to look smart. Anywhom i shall start.

A man gets a new job. He measures the distance of a round trip to work in his car and its exactly 20 miles. He travels 5 miles to get to work and 15 miles to get home. The man drives home without making any detours and he takes the most direct route there and back. Not only that, but the mans boss askes him to report to another location to work. The man also measures this and it is also a exactly 20 mile round trip. However this involved a 15 mile drive to work and a 5 mile drive home. The man drives to and from work taking the most direct route without any detours. How can this be?

Every day on the way back from work he is ambushed by space/time bending gremlins who change the length of a mile to protagonise him.

Alternatively, reading yours again; He doesn't start at his home. He starts 5 miles from work, (10 miles from his home).
And I bet I know what he's doing too naughty.gif

Ok, I think I've got it. It takes him 5 miles to get to work, 10 miles to get to the second place and then 5 miles back home.

very well i shall reveal.

The man in question works at a fast food resturant in a layby on the motorway. Its 5 miles down the motorway from his house, then after work a further 5 miles down the motorway to the next exit. From there its 10 miles back, a 20 mile round trip. The day his boss asks him to relocate, its the burger king on the opposite side of the motorway, a 10 mile drive to the junction, 5 miles from there to work, then 5 miles home.

I guess anyone who has a good one should feel free to take the next turn.
