Please keep it in the same post next time by editing the first post, unless you want to add something/new like a day later unless someone has posted before that time.

Latest Intel:

3rd Official Scrim set for this coming Sunday 7/26 (standard Battle times apply) as both Army's continue to Train for opening day, possibly as soon as August 9th, more on the start date when available.

New AAS Map Updates:

CoolBoxSBS & his band of map markers continue to roll out the updates. Newest updates include specialized kit's for both Army's, with selective weapons, stronger anti-spawn camp protection (18 second window, 100m rather than 50m random spawning) & addition of SMAW to the armory. CoolBox is dedicated to working with our community to produce maps that are a perfect fit for Tournament Style PvP play, they have impressed thus far.

New Awards:

Newly created awards fill the AGW Medalcase, which holds medals, ribbons & awards that will be issued to deserving soldiers during the tour. Our members enjoy recognition of their efforts & dedication to unit & Army. Awards gained will stay on a players jacket throughout his stay at AGW.

New Uniform Patch:

Both Army's received their uniform insignia for ingame use this week as well. Now soldiers can see their unit's identification on the field of Battle. Ingame insignia is now even easyer as AGW Admins have created a new system, the AGW Dynamic Squad URL tags system, which makes updating & changing a quick process.

other tourney's may charge you money to play with your friends, AGW is FREE!

C2 New Maps & Features Preview!

With C1 reaching it's half way mark after this Sunday, AGW's excellent Mod Team continues to work behind the scenes to make Campaign 2 more exciting & more user friendly as they tweak, twist & chisel out content for our next tour. AGW Members have been a major part in this as they offer suggestions & wish list items for future tours to make AGW one of the best ArmA2 Tournament Community out there.

So What's coming in C2?

New Features

  • Battle recording - working simular to the BF2 Demo system, rounds will be recorded for moving making & training purposes.
  • Automatic Assignment to Squads by player ID - making joining the server & getting into the right squad much faster
  • Ability to save your favorite kit customizations persistently across battles (will only work on AGW server)
  • Battle maps with neutral objectives, and objective pairs/trios

Example of neutral objectives & objective pairs/trios

New Maps

How about 17 new maps, that's right... up to 17 new AAS Maps, that will not only test your skills, but with new items such as neutral objectives that start out green at round start, and dual zone/objective pairs/trios, which must be taken or defended at the same time, means that C2 is going to Rock with much more detail & strategic combat maneuvers.

We want to thank the makers of these maps, the guys at BCA: Basecamp Allstars Home who are AAS Map contributes, working to improve game-play, find bugs & produce maps for use both in tournament & public play.

C2 AAS Map Previews;
Airborne - As the name states, this will be a map that Air lovers will get their fix. Lots of transport choppers will give Squad Leaders loads of ways to drop into zones in this awesome map.

Check all the other map previews & recent scores from Battle #3 by clicking HERE...

AGW - C1 Extended to 12 Weeks!

It was only supposed to last for 8 Weeks, but AGW's Campaign 1 "Mercury Rising" is just starting to get good... so good in fact that both Generals brought up the idea of extending C1 to 12 weeks. Both Teams had massive positive votes from Army Soldiers, who at this point didn't want C1 to end as we approach Battle #8 this coming Sunday Oct. 4th.

What this means:
  • 4 Extra Battles will be added before completing C1, which means Battle #12 will be the last battle of the tour on Oct. 25th
  • All ranks and army structure remain unaffected until after C1 is completely over & even more recruits can now enlist & join in this awesome tour!

That's right, enlistments are still growing strong, we are seeing our 50 slot server being filled on a regular basis, with talk of going to 80 slots or higher for C2. AGW continues to see extrodinary growth on our forums, in practices, pub sesions & Official Battles. It's never to late to join, just visit our site, register on our forums & enlist in the Army of your choice.

Did we mention that AGW is totally & completely FREE!

Here are the news reports from our most recent Battle #7, held last Sunday;

Attack Location: Msta (Into The Mist) - Breakthrough to 1RB HQ

AGW - C1 Battle #7 Results

Round Results:
Round 1 - Blue
Round 2 - Red
Round 3 - Red
Round 4 - Red
Overall Result = Red (RCLA) Wins

Attack on Msta:
Territory was fortified, but RCLA Red Army successfully took the territory.

Breakthrough Attempt on 1RB HQ:
Attack was successful; however the 1RB had 1RB HQ fortified, so no breakthough made.

Overall Campaign Territories Result:
RCLA 10 - 1RB 8

The AGW Battle Map has been updated with today's results and can be found here: AGW C1 - BattleMap!

Global Warfare takes a lot on what Browser game Evony and Age of Empires tell and even you will have to speed a lot of money to get anywhere in the game.
