Hi!
I want to inform you about ArmA mod - ACSR 1938.
We are making mod from WWII period - Czecho-Slovak Army. The mod is progressing quickly, but we need 3d/2d artist and map-makers. In mod you can play as Czech or Slovak, maybe as Freikorps - German civil forces. In mod will be two campaigns - One real, One unreal.
Mod will be release in two versions - For OFP and for Armed Assault.

Our mod is in cooperation with http://iskry.freehost.pl/mod_www//ang/index.html

We have relased our 1st addon for OFP:Slovakian pack, for download, click the on the link!

I really like the look of your bunkers. It\'s nice to see someone doing them as more than a concrete box. Bunker are a bit of an obsession of mine, I even have a book in Czech on Czech bunkers and defences even though I can\'t read it

Have you tried the bunker in ArmA yet? I stopped my work (Bazbo\'s Bunker) in OFP because the blast from a tank shell hitting the bunker would kill those inside. If you could PM or Email me to let me know if this is still a problem in ArmA I would really appreciate it.

Why don't you convert your addons from ofp to ArmA.For a tutorial pack on how to convert addons, go to "Calibrating an addon" in the Addons-work in progress section.

Hi,

So what happened with this ? I see some nice light tanks and transports and infantry. Can you release your addons public so other people can use them in ARMA ?

Or maybe merge with another mod if you have only 4 people with barely any time. It would be greatly apreciated as there are no ARMA ww2 vehicule addons out yet in public.

I really love the late CSR army camo (even though seems a bit too "colorful" to work rolleyes.gif , but i know it was just like this in real life so...). The German Ordel Police cars had identical coating of dark green on the turret surface complete with the Ordnungspolizei emblem: eagle with wreath of the oak branches. In subsequent years of the war, the AC Mo.30 in service of German Order Police preserved identical camouflage coating on all the car surfaces.
At the beginning of war with Poland, the police regiments were subordinated to the Army Command. The 1 st and 2nd Police Regiments saw action within the "Eberhardt" group deployed nearby Poznan. As per the German sources, four or five ADGZ and AC Mo. 30 armoured cars were trabsferred to Gdaňsk, alloated in support of combat inuts. Only one specific piece of information was preserved about this particular mission, recording the engagement of Tatra armoured cars during Polish campaign. An armoured car Mo. 30 together with artillery supported the SS Heimwehr Danzing attacking Tczew with the intent to join the units attacking from the Eastern Prussia.

All the Mo.30 armoured cars in the Czechoslovak Army carried identical camouflage, i.e. in the sense of its form and distribution of distinct coloured spots on the armour plate surfaces of each car. Tge spots were formed of colour shades of light ochre, reddicsh brown and dull green, with the green considered to be the basic uńderlying colour. The inner surface of the combat compartment was painted a shade of ivory. The police registration numbers consisted of five Arabic numerals on blask plates of 340 x 140 mm, completed with 3 mm wide white circumference border.

Bunkers/Forts will be placeable via Editor thumbsup.gif
and about maps, well we haven't anybody who knows how to make new ArmA maps, yes tools are out but we are now busy making authentic Armory, weapons, objects and soldiers etc.... w00t.gif

sorry for long time my posts. Momental i make OFP vesion this mod. But for ArmA I prepare new model THNP/S model A as:

LT vz.38
LT-38
LT-38 (with khaki camo)
LTM-38
Bfw 38(t)
Pz kpfw 38(t)

This model have more details and fixed technical bugs. His its picture as geman version:

I noticed in the new screenshots of the German tank the treads are sunk into the pavement slightly. I was woundering if the vehicles will have a suspension system like the standard vehicles do so you dont get that stiff effect while going over uneven terrain. Thats just one of those little detail that makes or breaks it for me. But those pictures look great keep up the good work.

Yer, from scratch, how otherwise. BI models are not acceptable - looks as "RAMBO" thumbsdownsmileyanim.gif .. Retexts Bi models or adjustment looks badly.

My original question I posted several days ago was: I noticed in the new screenshots of the German tank the treads are sunk into the pavement slightly. I was woundering if the vehicles will have a suspension system like the standard vehicles do so you dont get that stiff effect while going over uneven terrain. Thats just one of those little detail that makes or breaks it for me. But those pictures look great keep up the good work.

I was kind of wondering if maybe I could get an answer to that since I see some of the guys working on this mod have posted in here since I asked that. Sorry if this comes off as pushy but I need to now if I am going to be dowloading this mod or not, and also telling others about it.

Thank you petr.t.lbc, and yes I have ArmA and I know the tank tracks are a little buggy but from the screens I cannot tell if the tracks have a suspension. Like when you take the abrams off road some of the track wheels will compress upwards so the tread isnt the same shape the entire time. The reason I did as that question before was because the tanks I have that do not have a working suspension like the standard BIS tanks when you move onto a curb or any surface thats higher/lower than what you are on it like hops around and what not, Sigmas MAC semi truck is a perfect example, drive onto a curb at an angle and the rear tires come off the ground b/c the truck is so stiff that even the small 2-3 inch terrain increase lifts the entire trucks up. But anywho thanks for telling me, it's one of those tiny details that I look for and makes the addons all the better to play with smile.gif.

These screens look great!. I love the World War Two era mods being made for ArmA although with the game being so new there really isnt alot being made that I've seen but between this mod and that King Tiger John is making (I know it's a tank that started out at the tail end of the war but its still so beasty) I am just going nuts waiting to get ahold of these and make some good old WW2 based missions. Heck I even got so impatient I re-installed my Operation Flashpoint and downloaded every WW2 addon and mod I could find. Just keep up the good work on this mod, it's better to make it kick ass than put out a bunch of unfinished or buggy versions in my opinon and once again I cannot wait to get ahold of this.

You should try to make the texture on the side of the house seamless by using the Clone tool and other tools in Photoshop, right now it doesn't look that good thumbsup.gif

You can see the individual instances of the application of the texture, as shown below. The red features on the texture are highly visible, where as seamless textures are supposed to have no distinguishing features. Also those houses look pretty much ingame to me wink.gif

That's not what seamless means... glare.gif
Anyway, plenty of addons have that, just because some of us can't work out this UV wrapping malarkey, or it makes better sense in the instance to use the standard texturing method to allow easier texture borrowing doesn't mean you should be criticising perfectly good addons.

I'm sorry, but I really don't see what your problem with this is. It's not like it's really obvious that the textures repeating to anyone except you it seems. And to be honest, would you rather they just stretch the texture out so it looks really low res instead?

well, to get rid of that problem you should make about hmm 4 simple steps in Photoshop:

1) Select all the image
2) Copy the whole selection and select the canvas size, setting it to an higher size
3) Now select the Lasso tool, put the feather to 10px and dray a closed line where you want
4) Copy paste it in the same texture, and move it wherever you want, you'll not get those boring repetitions (A problem I faced sooo many times biggrin.gif)

Well my point was that you should define a separate .rvmat file for the helmet, instead of using the BIS one, so it wouldn't be too shiny, no matter what settings you have... unsure.gif

However, I believe you may have misinterpreted me, I was refering to the rim found at the base of most helmets due to the conditions of manufacture.

I can't find many good pictures of Polish soldiers gear during WW2, but from the ones I can find there is a rim at the bottom of the helmet:

What you haven problem with texture? Texture of metals its nearly black. This its ArmA, not OFP and metal have specular, when the Sun shining, metal gives reflection and wood?

Yes, it looks fine on the render, but (I guess it's the specular map) it looks a little bright and shiny ingame. Textures often need to be tweaked because they look different in 3d programs then ingame.

Personally I think the detail on the uniform is perfect, but the colors are wrong. Should be something like in the real photo on the picture which Model39 posted above.

Edit: Ok, now I understand what Model39 meant with the picture... tongue.gif Instead of moving the bottom part of the coat upwards, I think you should make the pockets on the top larger. Looking at that real photo, they seem to be pretty much the same size with the pockets below, unlike on your texture.

September 1938 - October 1938 war to Germany (really, against Freikorps, SS and WH units) - war finish departure Czechoslovakian units out of border.
November 1938 war to Poland
October 1938 - March 1939 war to Hungary (main fight 14.3. - 20.3. 1939 - 40 dead czechoslovakian soldiers and 200 hungaryan soldiers)

In this wars were be on tanks, armoured train and aviation...At czechoslovakian side total dead soldiers : 171. At side enemy undefinable, undefinable bis 2000.

Slovakian army conduc war with Hungary yet 23.3.-26.3.1939.

The only section that doesn't have the rules translated into it's own language is the Czech one, but that is irrelevant, since this is the English section. I talk to you in English, and you are expected to speak English because the section you are posting in is "English > Mods > AÄÅ’SR 1938-1945". Not Czech, French or German.

Correct, the rules are all the same (with the language restriction rule being different obviously for other language sections) and translated into the native language of that language section. By posting here, you declare to know enough English to understand what is being said here, and therefore that you can read and understand the rules of the English section. Any problems created by not fully understanding the language being spoken here is not our problem, in that case you shouldn't have posted here, but rather stuck to the sections that you do speak the language well of, such as in your (petr.t.lbc) case Czech and German.

The Czech section doesn't have it's translation of the rules, which is due to no one taking the time to translate them. That is not relevant here, since this topic is not in the Czech section, and you're expected to speak English well enough to participate, including understanding the rules and reading and writing posts in a polite way.

The Mp38 was like the Mg34 over engineered and simplified to meet up with wartime demands resulting in the MP40 which was made from stampings.

I think you should make those MG34 drums take up two spaces within the inventory. It would be sort of silly for a machine gunner to be able to carry as many drums as a soldier with an MP40 could carry magazines.

What a gorgeous plane! I've commented before on how incredible it looked, it's great news to hear the model is finished. The MP38 has differences from the MP40, but nonetheless the model you have looks very good. There has been a great improvement in all of the weapons models, and the textures bring out more details (especially the Mauser variant, newer textures on the stock look much better). Keep up the great work gents!

I think you should make those MG34 drums take up two spaces within the inventory. It would be sort of silly for a machine gunner to be able to carry as many drums as a soldier with an MP40 could carry magazines.



With these drums taking up only one space, we can also equip him with grenades. thats the reason.
(FDF had similiar thing wink.gif )

Terrific job so far!
I like the destroyed bunker that you showed not too long ago, looks very convincing. Will a great deal of the OFP release be ported over to Armed Assault as well? (Objects, redone buildings,..)

I make for ArmA new all models. When i make today new model for ArmA, I export this new model in OFP, if in OFP already not, but no all. thumbsup.gif and model for OFP its simpler - out of some details...

Ok, this mod and it's members are taking up more of my moderating time than all of the other mod threads combined (being on par with the BHD thread, but they aren't making a mess of their own thread by constantly ignoring and yelling at moderators), and pretty much all other threads too, so here it goes:

-Watch the size of the pictures you post closely, 150.00 KB pictures are allowed, 150.01 KB pictures are not;
-If you're unsure what the content of a post means, due to lack of English language skills, ask someone that speaks your own language as well as English well enough, rather than responding in an angry way. This includes writing PM's to moderators in all capital letters, in which you state that none of the pictures violate the 150kb restriction, even saying that all are under 100 kb, and accuse me of picking on you out of competition between our mods (and besides keeping issues professionally separated, I don't see you as competition, as 1941 <-> 1944 and Czechoslovakia <-> Normandy are quite different areas). Your last two pictures were 173.28 KB and 165.32 KB. They are over 150.00 KB. Get over it, move on. The detail really stands out with camouflage markings, especially this one with the 1943-45 scheme. Was this unavailable from the last version released into OFP?

Pz kpfw 38(t) 1943-1945 its too in OFP version from version 1.00. Im fix for ptach 1.9 beta texture. Model and texture for OFP its other as in ArmA. For ArmA its all new and better.

it´s nice to see the progress of this mod..
especially the pzkpfw 38(t) since a few of them (48 i think) was bougt by sweden in the late 30´s and designated Stridsvagn m/37 (Tank model 37).
the swedish tanks though where armed only with 2 8mm machineguns.

edit: actually the tanks bought by sweden was the CKD AH-IV, wich if im correct is quite similar to the pzkpfw 38.

1 of the swedish tanks (+ one wreck) has been traded back to chech republik and the museum in Lesany.
none of them are in driving condition though, but 5 of the remaining tanks in sweden are and atleast one of them has been on display in Lesany in 2006.

so it will be exiting to test this mod smile.gif

TNHP were made in Sweden in licenc as m/41 - 116 type SI and 104 type SII(two 8 mm Karlskrona M38 and 37 mm Bofors).AH-IV-sv as m/37 with two 8 mm mg Karlskrona M38 were made i ČKD for Sweden. For us mod i made just AH-IV-r...




AH-IV its tankette, not tank. Light tank its m/41. biggrin.gif And in Sweden its two wrecks AH-IV. thumbsup.gif In Lešany we haven just LT38/37 remodelled at LT vz.38 (visage rather LT-38 and deficiencies frame anten and have other exhaust and sundry )In Lešany its tank from czechoslovakian people's army. And today name its Czech republic not chech. thumbsup.gif

We can addonmakers and mapmakers, not testmans.
