Hi all, I have background music in one of my missions and it works fine but I cannot figure out how to loop the music so it plays throughout the whole mission instead of just playing once. The script i am using is:

"class CfgSounds
{
// List of sounds (.ogg files without the .ogg extension)
sounds[] = {song};

// Definition for each sound
class song
{
name = "Song"; // Name for mission editor
sound[] = {\sound\Song.ogg, 1, 1.0};
titles[] = { };
};

};"

What do I need to add to this to make it loop?
Thanks in advance!

Gosh its been so long since I've posted on here but lets get strait to the topic! Im making a mission at the moment in which the chances of getting killed are pretty high. Ive created numerouse amounts of squads and in each squad 1 unit is playable so you get more attempts. Now these squads will be outside the combat area and my idea is that when my player dies, the squad will follow a set of waypoints to the combat zone but I need a simple script to do so as the game needs to activate these waypoints when it detects my player has been killed. Can anybody help me out?

I agree with UKGBlazero, we need an ATE Super Hind mkii or mkiii perhaps, I guess it wouldnt be too hard just making some modifications to the vanilla Mi-24.

I have a 1:72 diecast Hind, not really rare...

Not many have them in England though. I think they stoped making them in the 1990s.

If you love model aircraft like I do, then perhaps you'd like to share your collection with everybody else! I decided to make this thread because now in the third week of January, I already have a lot going on with modeling. Firstly I bought a diecast 1:72 mi-24 Hind D which is very rare in England, and secondly I'm planning on building a 1:35 scale Mi-8 completely from fiberglass, and latex moulding. I will keep you updated if anything happens, and I am going to post some pictures of my collection.
Please share your collection here!

Yes I used the class name and it appears in the editor now thanks D@ve. Although no sound plays, I figure it could be the ogg file itself. Thanks again thumbsup.gif

Im trying to put sounds into my missions, I have followed a tutorial on how to do this but still to no avail. I named the sound Speech, and converted it to .ogg. I writ this description:

class CfgSounds
{
// List of sounds (.ogg files without the .ogg extension)
sounds[] = {song};

// Definition for each sound
class song
{
name = "Speech"; // Name for mission editor
sound[] = {\sound\Speech.ogg, 1, 1.0};
titles[] = { };
};

};

I saved this in a Sound folder along with the .ogg file in my mission, and in the editior when I set up a trigger
with playsound "Speech" in the activation, when I load the mission I get this error: "sound Speech not found"#
Does anybody know what I'm doing wrong? thanks guys.

I was looking around the early sections of the forums, you know old memories and that, and I came across ArmA 1943. I thought what a disaster! But ArmA 2 is lacking ww2 addons (dont think "here we go again") apart from a couple of weapons and those imports from ArmA 1. I was wondering if there was a tool out there which will alow me to take files (Units) from the game individualy instead of all in 1 file? My texturing skills are much better than 2 years ago! Thanks guys.

In preperation for the missions Im going to make for ArmA II (When I get my new system) is making units speak as much a pain in the A-double snakes as it was in ArmA? Or is it easier? Thanks y'all.

I know its probably too late, but this might benefit others. Using Paint.net mabey it will help by having a base layer say of just olive drab (Use the model your retexturing textures or borrow textures from another unit which uses plain textures), so you've got evrything to work with, no detail because a single colour is easyer to work with but because its a cloathing texture you can see that its a material. Make a new layer that has your pockets, make sure this layer is above your base layer otherwise it wont appear. Delete the area around the pockets. They should appear on your base layer now. If you want too add camoflague, try making 1 piece of the pattern in dark green but set the color transparency lowish so you can see the material underneath it, or try making an overlay layer above the base and pocket layer and make some patterns on it, though colours sometimes get confused using this method.
This texture is a good example. If you put this in paint.net, and make an ovelay layer above it, you can paint the whole thing green without loosing the look of the material.

Depends what your looking for, JG spetz is the gun my local hires out and having used it it's a nice wee gun and well built (managed to survive my 13st. landing on it with no damage, though I don't recommend testing that.) reasonably accurate with a reasonable range for the gun's size.

Kar98 all I can say is that I can't see it being much use from a skirmishing point of view due to the cartridge ejection.

Edit: Also, considering your age, and your location info provided on the forums I'd like to enquire as to how you plan on buying a gun? Considering it is illegal for some one under 18 who is not a bona fide skirmisher to buy/be sold an airsoft gun in the UK...

Ok folks! The AGM m14 came today, and I must say for the price it it excelent! The plastic is good quality, doesnt feel like its gonna break, the metal parts are good to. Easy cocking,and it feels good when shot. Its quite powerful (I havnt got the fps reading my cronos broke) and scince the iron sight can be zerod its very accurate too! the lower trigger guard can be removed for easy cleaning which is a plus. The magazine holds a good few bbs and is hi cap to. The only things i dont like is the wobbylness of the magazine and the battery wires, but in all it seems to be a decent weapon! Now i just gotta find some nice camo sprays smile.gif
