Armed Assault Info Forums _ ArmA II - Combined Operations _ New to Arma 2 - What things are most important to know ?

Hi guys,

i am kinda new to ARMA 2 (or ARMA in total) and would like to know whats the most important things to know about playing/using this Game. Since I am usually the common FPS kinda guy, the things here are quite different.

I also would like to find some nice Coop maps to try out with my friends (for ourselves) before we maybe go to public playing. Is there a list of good Coop maps that work with Stock ARMA 2 / ARMA 2:OA and how to install these ?

I am sorry if I did post these kinda, I am sure, totally unprofessional questions here, I wasn't sure where to ask that otherwise in the forum. Every help is appreciated.

Ya; where did everyone go?
Just got a chance to get arma2 CO the other day and it puts arma 1 to shame (nearly as enjoyable as ofp:cwc).

To the guy in the top thread, grab the shack tac guide, it has everything you need to know; if you can be bothered reading it!

It's not easy to find the answers to the 1st question, I believe that by "maps" you are meaning "missions" so i will suggest if you can play with some friends some nice missions such as those :

The MP mission file .pbo, you want to play on LAN must be set in :

Bohemia Interactive>ArmA 2>MPMissions

But if you play alone, it's a bit more difficult because many of them are needing addons ...
