Romanians sound good, but more important is now to make Marder IFV, German Paratroopers have no vehicles yet, adding one more country at the moment is problematic, of course Hungarian and Romanian AK models are in weapons pack, but Marder have now first place in queue

a few questions about DDR troops.
1- Will there be any chance of seeing the Grenztruppen der DDR - the (in)famous border guards? 2- Will the "paratroopers" be renominated as 40. Fallschirmjägerbataillon Willi Sänger? Being ONLY a single unit of paratroopers in DDR army - regarded as specop forces - could be a little gistorical improvement. 3- Will there be inserted proper DDR badges on vehicles (i may be wrong, but tanks & helis are by now without proper roundels) and people (like insigna badges, ranks, etc)? i don't want to seem pedantic, I do just love this mod! beside that, in the previous post I've read that you might consider making other East/West troops whan you've finished your actual work. Pretty nice! In fact, if I can give a suggestion, I do see that on the NATO side there are just US soldiers and british paras. A good expansion could be easily done on british land troops - maybe in cooperation with, or borrowing something from the Campana de Malvinas Mod, since they did some nice 1982 british troops. Other NATO troops who might pose an interesting development for the P85 are Canadians, and Italians - the other military contributors being too small in population, they could be regarded as lesser important. In both cases, there is some material already available in other mods that could be borrowed (expecially for Italy). Other Warsaw Pact troops that are not in P85 but are perfect are the ČSLA Mod units - personally, i do play in LAN with a friend P85 with the ČSLA mod, and they are awesome units. Beyond that, the three other nations - Hungary, Romania and Bulgaria are not of great importance. Possibly, an inclusion in the cold war scheme could e that of Jugoslavia: as "indipendent". In my opinion, the Jugoslav People's Army constitute a more interesting army than a bulgarian one, since enjoyed reputation of being a well-trained and equipped army. His equipment consisted of a funny mixture of soviet and NATO elements, plus some homemade item: MiG21 aircraft, Mi8 helos and T55 tanks of soviet origin; home-made Zastava M70 as copy of ak47; M-60 Patton and M-4 Sherman tanks, M-18 Hellcat howitzer tank, and F-84G Thunderjet aircrafts. |

i just meant the "home-made" as a jugoslavian-made weapon.
oddly enough, as you can see looks clear that is a AK47 copy, some parts are US made, like the receiver |

i'm not a DDR expert either. anyway, i can point you to some sites that shows several DDR uniforms and militaria:
here there is a set of uniforms - with nice images, and i think useful because shows uniforms of paratroopers, tankers, regulars, border guards, stasi field uniform.. http://www.theflatwoodsmuseum.com/EASTGERMANYDDR.html if you are interested in creating a texture for a field uniform, based on the "sla officer" model, i suggest instead to borrow some of the SarmatStudio models of german ww2 officrs: the uniforms were of the same cut... http://miles.forumcommunity.net/?t=12922022 here there is a Oberleutnant Der Landstreitkräfte (an infantry under-lieutenant) and the uniform of a volunteer of a Wachtregiment, the Dzierzinsky: in DDR existed only three guard-regiments, they were used as the military arm of the secret service. btw, here is a cap http://img.auctiva.com/imgdata/1/1/3/6/2/2.../93481685_o.jpg http://miles.forumcommunity.net/?t=26970039 here instead we have some field uniforms of the grenztruppen - the border guards - with the ranks of hauptmann, Oberst and the overcoat of a private. http://miles.forumcommunity.net/?t=25875104 here for a look of DDR shoes and belt http://miles.forumcommunity.net/?t=12922272 DDR stiefelhose and boots http://miles.forumcommunity.net/?t=9471823 DDR helmets since you showed a nice effort in making military police units in ypour addons - i may suggest this...?
