As titled. Im having a problem when I enable SLI playing ARMA 2. Ive only just discovered the ''SLI Enabled'' checkbox in the Nvidia Control panel , so not sure yet if it only relates to ARMA 2. The game runs for different amounts of time, sometimes 5 mins, sometimes 25 mins, before the screen freezes and flickers really fast. Crtl + Alt, Delete sometimes gets me back to desktop but not always, I then have to do a hard reset. When I uncheck the ''SLI Enabled'' checkbox I have no issues at all.
I have 2 x GeForce 8800GTS 640MB PCIE DVI cards. The SLI Bridge is in place. My MB is an Asus P5N32-SLI PLUS http://enthusiast.hardocp.com/article.h ... VzaWFzdA== I have the latest Nvida drivers, version 6.14.11.8618, dated 10/06/2009, for XP 64Bit. This shot shows ive enabled SLI http://i727.photobucket.com/albums/ww27 ... ANEL01.jpg This is a screen shot of my Device Manager. http://i727.photobucket.com/albums/ww27 ... RIMAGE.jpg As you can see both of my cards are installed and they are enabled. Do I need to enable the number 2 Nvidia network adapter, highlighted in the second red box ? Or has that nothing to do with my cards ? I have also downloaded the EVGA SLI Enhancer software. All I can see this has done is added an ARMA 2 configuration to my Nvidia Control panel as in this next screen shot. I presume this is so you can configure your card to individual games ? http://i727.photobucket.com/albums/ww27 ... ANEL03.jpg However the settings are identical to the Global Settings as in this shot. Which I presume is used for games not on the SLI Enhancement list ? http://i727.photobucket.com/albums/ww27 ... ANEL02.jpg Any help would be much appreciated. As Id hate to think I have a card sat in my machine not pulling its weight. Cheers |
