I am big enemy of consoles. Anyway, I want to know your opinion. You can choose just a one. Thin kabout that and, if ya want, write why you think so.

I like both so I'm not voting for either. I like to have a change from sitting at my PC. + Some games are more for consoles.

PC all the way! PC will always be technologically more advanced (not that we all have up to date PCs). the one advantage of consoles is that they dont have the same number of compatability issues as PC. Still... PC ftw!

I respect what and how people want to play their games, it's fine if casual gamers want to stick to consoles because there is no upgrading and other technical BS.
I always hate discusions and debates about which is better! You can't really compare them IMO... Although I only play PC, I also respect those that prefer consoles, unless they claim consoles are better and more advanced! |

I grew up on PCs, and I prefer them mostly, although I never played on consoles (too expensive here) I think that I will stick to PCs.

I will not vote, for I am a PC addict and I still love my old grey Gameboy and my Nintendo 64 with all options ... and play with them.
This question is like "do you prefer the fork or the spoon" ... that's not the same use, so I believe it's a bit weird. If it was "what do use the most? " the answer will be a PC. If the question was "what will be your next purchase ?" the answer will be a PC. But I am still looking around to find a cheap "Pilot Wings" N64 game ... and a Mario Kart game is still pure pleasure -------------------- |

All depends on the circumstances really, when it's a party with some mates round and a few drinks, consoles are brilliant. Nothing quite like debating about silly things whilst playing an equally silly or fun game.
For on my own or online definitely the PC. Whilst PC's will always be ahead of the consoles as far as hardware is concerned and are far more customisable, its just not a party thing What we've got in my flat: 2 PS2's, 3 PC's if you include my laptop, 1 sega mega drive with planned purchases of: Xbox 360, another laptop and maybe for the sh*ts n giggles: a wii. -------------------- Never before in the history of man, was so much buggered up by so few.

After a night of sleep ... I still believe that this so called "poll" is weird, because people posting here are of course people using their PC for gaming and net surfing and they have choose a PC to play ArmA.
So there is a bias in the question as asking monks if they believe it's great to be monks, yes of course , so here, it's a vote with only a Yes bulletin. I also believe that we must look around and see that so many people are playing games and of course FPS also on consoles. Why so many people are enjoying themselves playing FPS on PS3, XBox and Wii ? Because for them what is more important is fun, just fun. Do we need a PC to play a CTF or a DM with vanilla ArmA ? Of course not ! [Self_mod on] And I will be a better and faster CTF player if I was playing with a gamepad instead of mouse and keyboard[Self_mod off] So I clearly understand people playing games on consoles and believe that BIS is along the same path of thinking when they plan to have also ArmA2 on console. Even if it will appears provocative considering the results of the "poll", I hope BIS will succeed in launching ArmA2 on a console because it will bring more gamers to ArmA2 and more success on an economical point of view. -------------------- |

On all consoles forum they will say that is a console. Maybe ArmA is very favourite game for much people here, but you probably dont play ONLY ArmA. I understand that console is great for parties, massacres in Tekken etc. But there is no so much "real" games that are on PC. There is of course MGS, SH, but you dont have so much games where you have to think. Thats PC area. And of course you in fact cant mod console games, and I am always laughing from people saying that the consoles are most important part of markets.
Anyway, console players, console fans (for me - sh*tfans) cant understand some things. For example, they often think that PC games need mods because they are so f*cked up that players have to fix it manually. |

Probably because, whilst we enjoy console gaming as much as the next bloke PC gaming is our primary machine for gaming as stated by Old Bear.
