I believe that's telling you it's to high poly...could be wrong though.

Don't know, but it's gotta be 'too many'...
That's what the message is already telling me, I wanna know how to fix withouth having to reduce the number of polygons of my model! |

Not much you can do, chap I know says theres a function in max that will let you optimise the model (reduce poly count) without significant loss of detail. Something you could look into, I'll give him a shout tonight and find out.
