I'll be brutally honest with you: yesterday I even had a good laugh at one of those clips. Some guy walking around on a railway carriage winking with his arms like a total dumbass got hit by a beautiful electric arc. Totally had it coming.
Don't you worry, he survived. Totally earned his burning scars, though. -------------------- |

I saw a couple of kids do that locally, they were messing on wagons at aa rail yard near me and must have grabbed the 25kV catenary, they went some distance off the wagon in a bright blue flash, about 5-10 minutes later there was an ambulance and transport police car on scene asking us what had happened...

Noticed a nice collection of pictures of the salvage work done on the scuttled Hochseeflotte at Scapa Flow:

The Reich was dominated by Prussia. Its distinctive lack of Bavarian epicness meant it was doomed to fail anyway.

QUOTE LINK Whitehall departments are being told to identify 5% of their spending - which works out at £16.3bn of the total £327bn - to act as a contingency fund. Why is the Uk government asking every Whitehall department to strip 5% off their budget to raise £327bn "to protect against future unforeseen events" ?? i could go conspiracy crazy but why do we suddenly need 1/3 trillion 'just in case'? -------------------- |

Spain and Portugal need to be bailed out. You did it before during the Napoleonic Wars, so you shall do it again for no particularly clear reason -------------------- |

Presumably the future possibility that MPs might not have significantly more money than everyone else! I believe in "the business" they call this a "slush fund". Not that I'm accusing our government of illegally lining their pockets... nope, wait, that's exactly what I'm accusing them of. Ha, i'd say we're more than capable of crippling our own defence industry. I can see your logic though.
