A mate and I were throwing around some ideas for a Command & Conquer based mod for ArmA, set in the first (and best C&C game). Most of it will be reskins but some new units may make an appearance over time. So who would be interested and better yet who would want to HELP?
This is just a theory concept type thing right now, I am only asking to see the community response. ( yes I know there was another mod team working on it but they went over to another game ) -------------------- - .B.O.H.I.C.A. - .D.I.L.L.I.G.A.F. -

Actually the only C&C mod in ArmA sofar was Tiberium Genesis, and that was a Tiberian Sun mod.

I like the idea too, I have some textures lying around for Nod-esque soldiers haven't seen how they look on the models though...

I keep in contact with Sentry etc, he said its coz ArmA doesnt have any animation tools atm, they cant make mechs walk, and with TS if u cant have mechs walk, then the mod is doomed to fail

We have already made a little progress and may have a little something to show off later too.
One of the things that appeals to me with the first C&C game is that it was set around 1995, so almost all the conventional units are available and just need reskinning which will speed up the process of getting things in game faster. I think that is the achillies heel of most mods, things take too long to get in game so people loose interest Other more fancy units are possible in ArmA if you be creative and experiment a little. Another good point with C&C is no need to worry about political or racial issues because it is a fictional war in a near symetrical setting meaning that large tank battles are both possible and more importantly fun Does anyone know the progress of the M2 Bradley IFV someone was working on and if that someone would let us reskin it C&C style?
