Just want to post some WIP pics of the first map I'm doing for Arma. This is a second version which has a larger scale (6x6km) to include a small town and also a higher resolution sat map. Found that the Mask map changes the look of the satellite dramatically depending on what detail texture it's representing. Can anyone explain this to me? It really bothers me that a lot of work can be put into the satmap, only to have the maskmap change the overall look =\ These pictures show the version which hasn't had the satmap perverted by the mask yet... |

@DaKa - Mostly it's just colour correction in photoshop. Last pic had some dirt and blood layers added and a little smoke in the sky but that's about it. |

Australian checkpoint in Afghanistan. Afghan village - AAF mod Enjoyed the effect and made another with some dirt and blood added to the 'camera lens'. Afghan village - Personal M1A1 retexture to ADF colours. Fixed file size. Was hoping the 3kb over wouldn't be noticed =p |

I don't think these WIP images are in the right place. Those retextures and modified models are part of the AAF mod exclusively. ADF mod already have their own variants of the same units and as far as I know, they are not in conjunction at this moment in time. |

The overall yellowish glow (how I interpret it) might also be a result of the blurred background and the darkened corners. I like the effect it has and I suppose it gives a sort of glowing illusion. Otherwise, yeah I added some yellow midtones and blue/green shadows. @SMRDcompany - First one looks best to me. I also like how that soldier is inviting the viewer to the fight |
