In Country is a realism gaming community based on the War in vietnam. Although we are a Brit unit we welcome members from all over.

One of the things we are aiming to do with In Country is not restrict it to one unit. So if anyone wants to start their own unit and join In Country then you will be given a section on the forum and TS and you can do your own thing as well as coop with the other units. If you wish to do this then please email me at admin@incountry.co.uk

The first unit we have is LRRP Det.448/1st Cav. The aim of this unit is to carry out small 4 or 5 man long range patrols, gathering intel, calling fire missions and basically harrasing the enemy in small unit raids.

We are currently using the VTE mod and mando air support console for air support.

We have high standards when it comes to our missions and rely heavily on good comms and tactics.
We use proper callsigns and signals whilst on missions.

Missions are held on Saturday nights with training on Wednesdays.

We are currently recruiting for mature gamers who like realism whilst having fun and obviousely are interested in the Vietnam war.

You need a legal copy of Arma and Queens Gambit and teamspeak with working mic and headfones.

Applicants must be 18 or over to join

Once your application has been accepted you will be required to attend Phase 1 basic training and phase 2 jungle training.
After completion of both phases of training you will get your |FNG| tags and begin your tour of duty IN COUNTRY.

Update

We have now lowered the age limit for joining to 16. We may accept younger.

Patrols now have full artillery support and mando air support as well as laying booby traps and claymores.

LRRP Det.448/1st Cav is about to start their tour in country Based at a small SF base in the Dak-Saeng region.

We are currently looking to add a second team. So if you like coop missions and realistic campains why not have a look.

We have our own unique training map where you will learn everything to do with jungle warfare.

We are also looking at purchasing a dedi server.

UPDATE

In Country has backed away from the realism side of things, We still however have a realism element during our missions. We just play casual games on whatever night siutes us. Our main night for gaming is Saturdays from 2000hrs UK.
We are about to start a campaign for Arma using the Unsung vietnam war MOD.
