Hi everyone,
I am sure that this problem has been mentioned many times. After playing for a while I am always turned into a bird, this gets rather annoying as I haven't done anything wrong. I must admit I am playing with a No-Cd. Does anybody know of a No-Cd for 1.15 that works without the bird problem? Please don't come with the pirating rant because I bought the game and using a No-Cd is more convenient. I find this copy protection software horrid. most of the people it has hurt are legitimate customers. The copy protection in ARMA actually makes your weapons less accurate, reduces your health, wrecks your vehicles and turns you into a bird from what I understand! Thank you for all of the help paladinj, |

Since the last patches you don't need the DVD anymore in order to play the game... so be happy...

This is one of the effects of FADE.
As you own a legal copy of the game, a complete reinstall will remove this problem. As Rewan has correctly pointed out, since patch 1.08 you don't need the disk in the drive to play. -------------------- The Rules - Nothing too complicated, follow these and we'll have no problems.

Hi, I have version 1.15, why does it turn me into a seagull? It is an effect of FADE, BIS's copy protection software. If you've done anything to activate it then the only way to fix it is a reinstall. -------------------- The Rules - Nothing too complicated, follow these and we'll have no problems.

Hi, I have version 1.15, why does it turn me into a seagull? Well as you mentioned, you are using a no-cd for version 1.15. Why any crack group would make a no-cd for that version is beyond me, as ArmA's executables have not had a cd-check since pre-1.08, maybe a fake one that has spy/adware on board ... Not all crack groups are ideological crackers, but pure whores. Or maybe you downloaded it from a site that changed the "cracked" file to make money off of it through the aforementioned spy/adware. thanks for the concern!
actually, it it seems unlikely for there to spyware/virus when it is exactly the same size to the last byte. If it is the original than how come the game can tell? paladinj, |
