Armed Assault sam as Arma: COmbat Operations? Options

Is Arma: Armed Assalut the same as Arma: Combat Operations.

I just recently downloaded combat operations and queens gambit from Atari in the ArmA: Gold pack from their website.

I bought this game for online multi player and the version I bought has noone online, did I get a different version of Arma?

Arma: Combat Operations. is just the name used in the United STates.

It's the same, but you will need less patches to get to 1.14 (or 1.15beta)

I'm on 1.14 right now, though I thought there were more people online than this. Is there more than this, like mods or something thats causing me to see such a small online population?

Whats small? How many players ? The ArmA Community isn't a huge one like BF2 or CS

I'm not really sure which version the majority of the players play online, but there is also v.1.15 beta - the latest one. You could have a look at the servers with that and see if there are any more people. But yeah, as Deadeye said, maybe you should be more specific with your "small", because ArmA community ain't huge. It might be the average player number, unfortunally.
As far as I know, the majority of the ArmA community is from Europe, so you should keep an eye on the servers at evenings on European time, when people come off the schools and work. Then you might see more players.

like th emost people I've seen in a server are 20, and that was only like 2, the rest were like 10 servers with 1-8 people in them. All the other playable servers were empty.

We mainly play coops that are designed for partys. I mean you should play them wit people you know them
Rest is DMs and MBFs (Mini Battlefields). But IMO they are not as good as coops and WARAFRE, cause they are just copy from others games.
