i want to make a group of Cobras stay at an airfield until called on by troops of an outpost for air support and i was wonderin if you need to attach a trigger to the waypoint or somethin and could someone plz explain how they work? i know about the guarded by part and end part(somewhat) but i mean bout the more complex stuff
(btw if anyone says to download the Mr. Murray's editing guide i cant) also; what is a game logic for? i always see people talkin about it but cant figure out what it is used for 1 last thing how do i make it to where one team wins if they hold off an enemy attack tryin to captue a weapons cache? |

Sometimes some topics are not visited every minute, so it can be "nothing" for a few hours
Game logic you will not need for now, triggers do what their name suggests - they trigger events. The simplest way to do what you need (there are other ways to do it) is to place two Ah-1z, give them get out waypoint, then getin waypoint on their cobras again, then guard waipoint & place it near the target area. Now place a trigger (you can make it bigger\smaller - just play with the numbers) near the area where you expect to see your first enemies. In the trigger menu select SLA (OPFOR) as "spotted by Americans" or something like this (my version of Arma ain't english) & connect the trigger via synchonise option in the waypoints\groups\etc. menu. Connect the Cobras' getout waypoint with you newly create trigger. Hold left mouse button and all the way from the trigger to waypoint. Now, when some aemricans see some SLA units in the area covered by ur trigger, they will signal the cobra pilots to get in their already empty cobras and fly to the target area. It's pretty much the same thing with your secon issue: place a trigger: SLA as "not present in the area" (they are dead or running away in fear), and in the advacned trigger options select end mission - so when the trigger sees that no enemies are present in some area, it triggers mission end. uff... do search for some tutorial, ok? There are many of them. -------------------- Good guys play ArmA-1
