Nah, let's not fool ourselves - the game is pretty much dead at this point. I'd be surprised to see something interesting for ArmA-1 anytime soon.
But I do agree with you.

I cant speak for other mods but personally I'm still modding A1 and dont plan to dump it anytime soon (heck I'm looking at trying to make my addons compatible with both A1 and A2 if possible, but A1 takes preference since it atleast runs well)
Also alot of addons are done for A1 that arnt public release, mostly due to the fact alot of addon makers are getting sick of the thanks they get at times, its been going downhill since OFP thus why the numbers of addons for A1 is far smaller than OFP.

(Heck if I had only seen this post earlier)

But guys, that wasn't something totally new, it happened to OFP earlier and it will happen to Arma 2, when somedays an Arma 3 shows up, but the sad thing is, where there were at least IDK how many addons, mods and maps for OFP, there are not that many for Arma and then they're not that diverse like all the OFP mods which came up over the years, I mean there was even a WH40k mod for crying out loud and Arma has nothing that could compare to that and that saddens me, that and the fact, that the majority of the addon makers for Arma 1 just stopped working on their project the day Arma 2 came out, I mean guys seriously?
