No. At least I don't think so. I think that is for the ones you see in your local off license sort of RIFs.

Iam now inviting any community airsofter to the bigest and hardest milsim ever!

Operation Red Storm Rising!

Red Strom Rising (RSR) will be a MILSIM from the beginning to the end.

Let me first establish what is a MILSIM.

A Military Simulation is a game that evolves around a military scenario, driven by real world events and real time decisions. Players will be in "the game" at all times when they are in the area of play, there is no game off.

The flow of the MILSIM will be controlled by the Battalion Headquarters and the HQ staff. All orders and actions will follow standard military patterns. Warning orders, Operations Orders and Frag orders will be used. Standard NATO map reading skills will be required. English will be the unit language of use. Orders and chain of command will be real and real-time. The action taken by players during the MILSIM will control the outcome of the MILSIM, individual players and squads will make a difference. Following orders will be important.

Units in the MILSIM will have objectives to accomplish and they may do this at the expense of their opponent, i.e. you play to win. The scenario is not scripted. The objective is to create an environment that will cause players to feel like real soldiers. It will push you to your limits. This MILSIM will follow a pattern similar to the situations faced by troops in Iraq. You will be interacting with a civilian population while fighting the evil bad guys.

Miles casualty cards will be used. If a casualty, you will be evacuated to the aid-station, your miles hit recorded and then you will be returned to your company to reenter the game. Total KIA's and WIA's will have an outcome on the winning of the MILSIM.

This MILSIM operation will be test, a test of your ability to lead and to follow. To see if you can hang with the big dog's. You will face all the challenges of real combat without the blood. Sleep will be as you can get it, weapons maintenance is your responsibility. Caring and looking out for each other in all things will spell victory or defeat. Enemy will be ready. Will you?

finally found some sites near me: one about 20mins from where i stay out of town with rental so i'll try and get a few games in there and get my registration done and get myself set up for making it more regular smile.gif Section 8 Airsoft

also:
anyone recomend a good camo scheme for woodland/open grass land? been recomended Flecktarn by a mate from highschool who showed me the site. will probably by some cargoes a jacket and cheap tac vest or chest rig for the days i get to. If you've got any recomondations id be gratefull to hear em.

Been using airsoftscotland for vests and rigs. Looks cheaper to get the mesh vest there or fidragon crossdraw vest, the SAAV or LA Special Forces load bearing vest.
I've got a surplus store near me so as long as i can get an idea of what camo scheme would be the most ideal i should be fine for getting something.

lo buddy smile.gif

*really should post in here more often me thinks i should* ...

A good camo to go for would be soldier '95 which is why its the most commonly used as well. During the Summer/Autumn months when the ground is yellowish wearing desert camo trousers works alright (shown bellow). Rig wise id go with a South African assault vest. Theres a reason why the SAS use it...its good happy.gif

Cheers,
Carver

thanks had a look in my local surplus store and they aint got much other than DPM DPM or DPM, though they do have a special on DPM! ohmy.gif

Will look into soldier 95
gun wise once i've got the UKARA stuff sorted will consist of the following:
CYMA CM031 (may have to have power downgraded for Section 8 sites) will be modding this aestheticly at first King Arms OD Tactical kit (full stock) + 2 extra mags from RSOV (not the tac kit). I'll probly pester you lot about later modifications which i'll get professionally done to the internals etc logical start for that is probably as said by most reviews for more adv use rewiring is a good option.

Total from RSOV and Wolf Armouries (exc. P&P) for the tac kit and cyma cm031 + 2mags is about 175GBP

TM Python 6" or similar & another side arm prefferably AEP instead of gas as a backup.

will the SA vest take AK mags you think? I've found some reasonable looking other ones that me mate seems to think are ok and can take AK mags?

extra kit im looking at besides camo and vest are now: leg holster/mag pouches and some new boots the ones i use casually are to weak and my harder ones are waaay to beaten up for any more use lol

all long term planning wont start at the site till i've got the new PC or will be going once a month while i save thus taking longer to get ingame for arma.....
guh, expensive living this...

Now how we all get full kits to just basically try out the sport, eh? Says the guy who has an almost completed WWII AB set (well, need webbing and WWII gun), flight suit, few boonies, few combat caps, the gas mask and an assault rifle with AP... and the good old springer Beretta!

SAAV takes 5 AK mags, and 10 STANAG mags (for what it was designed for).

lol I plan to continue with it, should give me something to do other than sit around the flat on a sunday, can't get the kit till I have done at least 2 games in at least to months and apply for UKARA membership, which for the two games will cost me about 90gbp not including transport (train and taxi) - 15gbp for gun hire if i borrow one of my mates guns.

Thanks for the help on vests btw!

same Section 8 has a game then too, will see what im like money wise, i've been given an ~ hundred quid head start on the PC savings which will mean less time saving for that more money to spend airsofting. Will talk about borrowing a mates m4 dunno if i can make that game or can afford to atm :S

on a side note *drools for a bit*

Anyone got any thoughts / experiences with MadBull products?

I'm re evaluating what to buy with the influx of good Chinese AEGs and the new CA sportlines.

I'm trying to find whether or not this Will fit anything other than a TM one? I'm thinking that because It may well be cheaper to add bits than to buy whole as it were...

Help appreciated.

If the ACM you get is a mauri "clone" as the CM031 is with the exception of the hop-up it should be compatible with TM compatible parts.
