Hello, this is my first try in texture/addon-making ever, so please don't eat me tongue.gif

I want to present you my addon of Georgian infantry ver. 0.5, a reskin of CDF-army.

Features:
- Reskin
- 4 types of infantry with 2 skins: WDL and MARPAT
- Eastern and Western weapons, as in real life
- Advanced Combat Enviroment (ACE) only, but with all features (eg. bandage of Vector Nite from the very begging
- 8 basic colour of equipment, to choose from WDL/MARPAT, Black/WDL vest, Green/WDL helmet.
- Many troops available in editor with real equipment, so (I hope) missionmakers ont have to rearm player so much manually tongue.gif
- Georgian names


Do to:
- Small config improvements
- Respawn weapons adjustment
- Wound textures


Known bugs:
Something PROBABLY sometimes goes wrong with shadows on greater distances. I think its a bug, my betatester haven't noticed - you have to tell me.

Gentlemen, its time for small refresh. Few things have changed:

- You are able to buy vehicles, with possibility of refueling and repairing.
- Changing the island. Klurs was simply too small. Converting to Namalsk.
- Changed history.
- Most of RobertHammer equipment (except '416s).
- I may loose my eyes, zGuba may tear his eyebrows and block me on all possible communicators, but there will be dynamic respawn.
- Conversion of circa. 70% scripts for .sqf. I have won 5FPS (Namalsk is bigger and more accurate).
- Two absolutely different stories, depending what side will be chosen by player.

Voice acting has stared, we have to record circa. 800 strings. Anyone who is good english speaker and thinks he has good acting talent is welcome!

Few scrinshots onboard, but island is so much desolated (yet) that in fact there is still nothing to show biggrin.gif
Anyway i think the game will be interesting and challenging especially coz AI is fken hard, randomness is nearly on every step, and quests (I hope so!) addictive.

From that what we know, Donald Tusk shouldnt be in that plane, because he visited Katyń on Wednesday. He said he will immediately get back there, probably today or tommorow.

And people say it is possible that Kaczyński requested landing exactly in Smolensk. Control Tower suggested to go to Minsk or somewhere there, but in this case party would be late or even not attend on that very important ceremony. Sad to say, but Kaczyński and all security agencies for government in Poland are famous for fking up safety procedures. However I understand Kaczyński this time - that was very important to him.

I dont have car on my own, but on shorter trip (close by, in or around our city) I used to break law and drive with this:

Welcome ladies and gentleman, I am back! I have finally did what I had to. Uhh, plenty of changes on those forums tongue.gif
Hope the end of Christmas holidays wont rip me apart again!
And I want to bring something... other. W.I.P. ...

The new order is my project that is being currently developed. I dunno if someone remembers screens of my mission for ArmA 1, stylised as an RPG.
This is this mission - in Arma 2. With better graphics. With hilarious Klurs on lead...

Introduction

Story:
Year 2022. Post-atomic wasteland. The number of explosions caused NPPs damage and damage of tectonic plates (Western US coast has fallen into the ocean). All those event caused great dust, that blocked up the sky. Saying shortly: Sun is lost and generally everything is snowed. The Klurs in an island on the Baltic, one of few locations in quite a good shape.

Why am I telling that to you, if there's no mission yet
Cuz I divided the mission in Core (Scripts) and Quests (Missions). The core is nearly finished, and missions are quite easy to be done. And because of rather highly advanced level of mission status. At least for me, because great scripters would just laugh from me.

Your project is going to fall anyway, so why you are creating new topic?
This project will not fall. Core is - as I said - nearly done. In fact, I could start the quests creation just now.. In crisis situation mission will be released, but with less quests.

Technicalia

OK, no sh*t. In fact, what's going on in very mission?
Maybe I put the features as a list:
*Dynamic Weather (Its hard to find it, because there is great good damn fog, smaller good damn fog and rain that makes you blind, so - in short - you cant see sh*t). +
*Buying weapons - as the most of the things it takes place in actions. I really wanted better way, but SPON Money requires SPON Core, SPON Core requires extended_eventhandlers, and extended_eventhandlers requires ArmA 1. I have to use "Flashpoint's Kalashnikov": Money Script from OFP. When all those M16xxx (SPON Money) gives up in hard terrain, Flashpoint's kalashnikov (Money Script) still works. Without troubles. +
*Dynamic chating system. With nearly every non-spawned NPC you can talk. Less important has randomly chosen answers and they are repeating like Polish Parliament, More important (kwho's nmes in editor are other than xxx01) have their own strings, sometimes with various routes to complete the talk. +/-
*Ability to own 2 companions. +/-
*To live, you have to eat. To eat, you need food. To have food, you need money. To have money, you need... +
*...to complete Quests. or to sell weapon (here unfortunately Money Script sucks and each gun will have same selling price, with SPON Money that would be better). There will be primary quests and secondary ones. I wont say more like now. +/-
*If betatesters says that its too easy with the food, I will add thirstiness. (only water, no Sprite, really!) -
*Island is divided into 3 zones: Safe Zone, Zone of Alienation and The Deep Inside. You have to finish main quests in one zone to pass to another. If you try before, I tell ya: "YOU WONT PASS!". There is no player who won with player setdammage 1; Of course you can try to swim trigger around. And then search for new weapons... +
*Few routes to complete some quests. -/+
* You start with map and the compass. The rest (GPS, Watch) you have to buy yourself. +
* First aid kits are also useful... +
*... but if you dont have them you can always heal while sleeping. Payment is less, but in the meantime you loose 8 hours and you acquire 20 hunger more. Of course you can sleep only in very few locations, so you have to gather your gust together and go back... +
*.. which takes a while, cuz you would have to push "+" 1000times per second to bypass the script that blocks acceleration... -
*No cars. They had to be, but I decided that would be a bit... uncomfortable non this so large and plain island... +
*If someone is encouraged I can add zombies. Well, I actually want, but any addonmaker must want, too...

And we should believe that everything works?
Generally... yes. I am still fixing weapon selling, cuz its a bit problematic. The its going to be "fun" (ironic) with respawn of the enemies (I really dont know how to spawn because I hate it, but Ill do what I can).
Rest works, because everything is in the action menu, not in dialogs as SPON Money. Usage of action menu is not so comfortable as dialog, but its not big problem.
Hits hardly that the most scrips are .sqs syntax. Unfortunately I had to, because there we troubles with global variables etc., And I am a bit unexperienced to base whole mission on .sqf. And if other people would write me whole scripts, that wouldnt be my mission anymore. Right, many scripts are not under my hand, but I have learnt a lot and I would write there scripts alone.

Eh, OK, its on yours. So, maybe any screenshots?

I dunno if there is reason to show action menus all the time. When I will start with quests and add some more nice places via F1>>>Empty then I will show something. I am currently searching for people who likes voice acting, which are not ill and probably are free or jobless, because there will be plenty of recording. And its recording will be not so great, because there is no stringtable (whatever, but I dont like stringtable and finito), and whole mission will be in english. The thing I expect are quests ideas. Best sent on PM. if Quest will be possible to add, I will do this, and author will be awarded with... Credits.

And, so what about the bugs?
Weapon selling and first second of game showing 100-150 errors which are not causing lag. The rest works fine...

OK, but Do I have to put 16 triggers for BLUEFOR and 16 for OPFOR, because this is number of players or just one. But from your post it seems there is no multi use array.

So, when player respawns (after 20 seconds) I want his weapons removed. I tried f*ckin' simple:

After some thinking, I found one thing: When missionmakers use as soundtrack for one of their mission music from other source (like movie or game) is it also infringement?

OK, that's a thing Im gonna do:

1. This MP situation. There are to bases (OPFOR and BLUEFOR). In each base there is repair truck.
2. On small island far far away are 2 ammo crates and 1 AT pod, 1 AA pod and 2 MG Nests (for each side).
3. Now, the truck is moving to any location
4. When on place, driver can:
- put one of ammo truck
- put second one
- put one of MG Nests
- put second one
- put AT Pod
- put AA Pod
Every object is teleported from that island to new location
5. Any object is placed behind the truck at dir around 180* . I mean eg. MG Nest is situated directly opposite to the truck.
6. Now you cannot move any of those objects for 1 minute or more (depends whats that). Then you can move them to other location (of course when you drive with truck to other place).
7. Any Object cannot be destroyed.

And now - who can make it? Its probably not so hard to do, but I really dont have idea how to make it compatible with MP and/or ACE.

Room 1408

I gotta say I way thinking about something: is that possible to make a good film and horror that takes place in one room?
I dont like King but I gotta say: good film, but not horror.
Room 1408 is psychological horror based on Stephen King book on the same name. Mike Enslin is book writer. He decides to visit Room 1408 in Dolphin Hotel that is - as people think - cursed. Hotel manager (in this role Samuel L. Jackson) want to discourage Enslin, but he cant - so Mike get the key. After some time seemingly normal room shows it real face...

I think that quite good film, but I dont like King's style. I mean book and movie are psychological. THere are nearly no monsters, zeds etc. Hero simply goes crazy - and this is most scary. In fact - I am not sure if I am really on the same world after Room 1408 tongue.gif

I started playing mission "Maybe Tommorow" by Sarge Studios. Now I am Harry Olson and I was called to Airport to talk to Major. He says me I am cancelled and gotta... what?
And this is this point: What to do now? I moved Humvee close to him, put all weapons on the ground but nothing happens? Malajn.gif
