In my mellow weedy induced state i say that its not such a bad thing that the community is going through this down turn . Remember Ofp had the same for a good 6 months or so as everyone ran off to play bf2 ... Its mearly separating the wheat from the chaff ... I recon the community will re-emerge with the idiots gone and the classic hardcore gamer community ofp had which spawned the communities best years!

I'll help here to bust that this is a fake image.

Number one - We only need to look at the shadow. Different shade to the others, and of course as mentioned the render did go through an occlusion pass of some kind to get the 'second shadow' effect. That is a more realistic shadow which arma apparently doesn't support (not even in the fake sense where the game might place an alpha shadow below the car. The last shadow related clue and the biggest is simple, the shadow doesn't curve when it hits the side of the curb. It just goes straight. Compare it to the building on the top.

Really easy to do when you know the basics and this guy would have fooled everyone if he included a gutter in his render for the shadow to bend over plus worked more on the colour correction and simplified shadows. Other than that it looks possible for that chrome effect when having a reflection map done right. Arma already has those.
