We have just released these initial screenshots of our current work. These initial screenshots are the first of many to come while showing our progress in the new Armed Assault environment.
From our Operation Flashpoint days, we have strived to build a MOD based on realism during the Vietnam War. It is our mission to recreate the battlefield in order to simulate the experience of being in an actual southeast asian jungle.

That is very nice, and I think your mod will deliver a better quality (even with less addons) than the VTE Mod(Which claims as best arma vietnam mod themselves)

The Unsung MOD has a recruitment going on currently.
Although all other fields of expertise are pretty much covered, we lack manpower in the Animators squad. We have lots of projects to do, but have shortadge on staff in that field.

There will be a smaller island included with R1, it is cut from R1 around a CIDG base in the Kham Duc region . We decided to add a smaller island to help out guys with older spec'd comps. This island is complete and ready to go, so it wont delay the R1 release further.

Well okay small update/show of stuff.
As we are aware that not everybody has a good machine, we made the large island in another smaller version. It concentrates on just the SW part of the Kham Duc main island. The smaller island is called Ngok Tavak. So i recorded a small firefight out there in the jungle. I had a FPS count of around 24 while having 5 squads stealth fighting around me and viewdistance at 600. Why 600 you ask? Well i f#### only can see around 150 in front of me so why the hell have it at 1000 or more.

did back in the jungle; the AK47 mags bananas... the M60 the pig... etc, to put the players into the place; also, may be good if you reduce the recoil of the
XM177E1, which isn't as much as shown in the video. Also force the charlies to don't go crawl all the time like the rats that they're, like the BIS ArmA
infantry which have the silly tendence of go crawl all the time even when they enter in houses. Let's C ya

The shouts are still WIP. And well, have the infantry go down to ground or not is really a mission makers choice. The recoil also still WIP. Delicate fine tuning all of it

But on a serious note I look forward to this, I loved the Unsung demo for OFP and it resulted in the best MP Nam games I had outside of a clan assembled Australian focused XDF OFP Nam mod with ECP. Hope you still have the features that made Unsung what it was; beautiful environments, well rendered weapons and units and of course jamming, long patrols and tension

It would be great to see some of that "Weaponry newly made", especially the Stoner MG!

I play in 1.14 and with Queen's Gambit, If i play without queen's gambit, same bug...
My config: GTS250, INTEL Q8200, 2gb ram dual channel, wingay xp SP3, original arma, no problem with all others mod and addons.
One point, there appears to be a config error regarding claymores and placing ammo boxes on maps, which stops such boxes being placed.
Trying the helicopters now, flying over a besieged SF camp gunning down the VC in support of it, you can see the empty cartridges flying out from the air craft as it goes along, in a big stream, which is cool. I was reaching to take a screenshot of it when an RPG hit our tail and he crashed into a tree
Still, great AI as well. Was impressed with the navigation of the bunkers. In the central bunker of the SF base on the incountry map, I was shot by some VC who came tearing in, and during the post-death video I saw some VC climbing up the ladder and running around the roof.
Oh, there is also an issue with the craters on the maps, where the player vibrates up and down when standing on them.

Missions pack available for ArmA 1. Due to work moving to the ArmA II area, these will be the last done for ArmA 1.
The pack includes 7 missions out of which 5 patrol missions for 12 players and 2 clearing missions for 20 players. Drop the files into your ArmA/MPmissions folder and play. We decided to release some beta units we still had for ArmA 1, so you can have a bit of fun with them untill The Unsung releases for ArmA 2. The units have some bugs and are not binarized and bisigned. So basically you can play around with them in the editor or in self made missions.
Some of the problems are:
Infantry:
- No healing capabilities for medics.
- Unit icons not correct.
Marines:
- Textures turning black (VC like) in shade.
- When killed, textures change into infantry ones.
We will not be fixing the above problems. Also we will not be releasing anything else anymore for ArmA 1. The included files wil not be bisigned or binarized. Work on ArmA 1 has completely been halted. Work on ArmA 2 is in the works. Readme on how to install and a Single Player demo mission are included in the download.
