The Armed Forces "Game"

Well for all the fledgling arms dealers and dictators on the forum (Me, Andy, Andi and Scorpy really)

Here's the scenario...

You take the place of the new position of Minister of Defence for [Insert your country here]. Your country can be as old or as new as you want it to be, be that a small nation that recently declared its independence from a larger country or union thereof such as Russia, or a nation as old as China...

• Your country is viewed with suspicion by by the world being a fledgling nation everyone wants to influence you (Russia, America, China, the EU etc)
• Your country can be abundant in various resources for example Oil or Coal etc or it could be banana republic, up to you really...
• Your country can be wherever you wish, in existing countries or even in the middle of the ocean provided the seabed isn't that far down to make it unbelievable.
• The economy, population, and all other elements are up to you, within reason.

Now that your country has been established it is time to build the armed forces of it to keep your countrymen/women safe, oh and you have nearly unlimited power - the rest of the government / parliament will trust your decisions if you have one that is, feel free to list things like diplomatics, training, joint defence pacts, acquiring arms/hardware from existing nations, organisation of units etcetera.

So then armchair generalissimos how do shape the armed forces of YOUR country?
