Hello,
I have armed assault since a long time and i love the soundtracks background music played in it . I can't find the music in arma's folders. Do you know how to find the music files ? n convert them into mp3 files? Thanks |

Can be done quickly enough;
1. You'll need to download a PBO archive tool, there are a few floating around, you'll want one that can decompress the game files. 2. PBO files are similar to zip or rar archives, you can find the music in "\Addons\Sounds\Music\" (in ogg format). 3. If you need to convert it to another format, you can find audio tools that'll do this. I'd recommend Audacity. -------------------- The Rules - Nothing too complicated, follow these and we'll have no problems.

Thanks Thanks for the answer but I went to Addons in programs/bohemiainteractive/Arma/Addons and i see only Sounds.PBO only one file, not severals songs. I downloaded PBO patcher09 (I don't know if it's an archive tool) and audacity What do I do after exactly please? |

PBOpatcher (there's something I haven't heard a lot of recently!) is a program designed for patching PBO files, (ie, replacing files in the archive such as the config to fix bugs, adding new models and whatnot), it was used a good bit back in the OFP days when it wasn't really convenient to download a full sized addon for each version, though I haven't seen it used recently.
IMO, the best tool ever made for messing around with existing PBO archives is WinPBO (anyone who disagrees is some kind of punk kid!  ), you can download it from OFPR.info here:http://ofp.gamepark.cz/index.php?showthis=8010 If you're having problems getting it working, there's a list of tools for PBO files at the top of this page: http://community.bistudio.com/wiki/OFP:_Community_Tools -------------------- The Rules - Nothing too complicated, follow these and we'll have no problems.
