Game slows down after several days? Options

Ok so I've been playing this game for several days now. I did not expect it to run very smoothly on my laptop (Gateway FX, Vista, 4gb ram, 1.84 cpu, Nvidia 8800M GTS 512 MB) However I could run the demo on the 1440 resolution and most things on high pretty smoothly. For a couple days anyways, then it started to slow down and would stutter a lot even at lower settings. I figured it was a fluke and bought the game anyways. Same issue. It ran perfect on mostly high settings. But after about 3 days it is suffering the same results. I installed the new patch a day ago, and it still ran fine after the patch. Just today it has started to act up. Any suggestions here?

I think it the problem is your laptop, not the game or patch, like you said after a while it slowsdown.. Do you play other games on it, that have the same problem?
