Okey. Im making a sniper mission and i need one simple thing. To make a convoy stop and unload all their troops and then begin trying to find me and kill me if i shoot them in the middle of a waypoint. (They are trying to go from point A to B and im supposed to stop them before they can reach B. Please help me with this one.

Make a trigger which covers the whole possible ambush area, trigger type: Switch. On the activation field of the trigger you should type in commands like unassignVehicle, setBehaviour, etc for the possible cargo passengers to make them seem more lifely and respond to the ambush quickly when the ambush occurs. reveal command might also be good, if you want them to know about your position immediately when ambushed.
Anyway, let's consider that you have one waypoint which the convoy should be traveling on, until ambushed. Synchronize this waypoint with the trigger you just made and make another waypoint, type: "HOLD", and any other options, depending on how you want them to behave when ambushed. Then use the setWPPos command to move the waypoint on the convoy's current position when ambushed. This is done by typing the command on the trigger too, along with the other commands. Pay attention to the syntaxes told in those wiki pages to make the commands correct. This should make the convoy stop and respond to the threat pretty good when ambushed. |

This should make the convoy stop and respond to the threat pretty good when ambushed. Yeah but is there not a easier way? Something like this? I make three waypoints. The first one is where they start and the last one is when they win. The middle one is a get out waypoint but set on false. And then i make a trigger and sync it with the get out waypoint and make it cover the whole ambush area. Then I set it on Act: Blufor - Detected By Opfor. Then i need a script to make the get out waypoint TRUE if they detect me they will get out. Is my way possible. Well not really, because then they'd be stuck on the get out waypoint.
Personally I think my way is very easy and useful. I've made a little demo mission which you can download below. It's for OFP, since I don't have ArmA, but it should be easy to convert it to ArmA, if not even 100% compatible. You can have a better look for easier understanding if you download it.
