hi guys, i have a problem

when uploading a custom made mp mission to a gameserver i pay for monthly with gameservers.net, the server crashes with error message "session lost". There are no addons being used.

There is an ending to the mission and everything. If you need more info please ask, or suggest how to solve this annoying problem!?

i have officially given up trying to get this to work... I'm just going to have to scatter missiles all over the place to kill targets...

Altee thats a great help thanks, i didnt realise you had to be near enough dead on with the nose in the first place. As much of a struggle as I'll no doubt find that, I'll bind the lock and next target buttons to my joystick and begin practising!

hi guys, i was wondering if anyone could tell me:

1) Is there a way to set voice over web to constantly transmit instead of having to use a key? I sometimes play in a 2 player server with my brother and at the mo we use other chat clients but they tend to slow down in performance and I wondered if the in game chat would be any better

2) Ive seen lots of options in the controls about locking on when in a plane or heli. Does this actually work, is it as simple as press the lock button, press the next target button until the thing you want to go boom is selected, and then just fire your missile? This is one thing I really want to get working as at the moment I can't hit specific targets when Im flying fast over them

Ive downloaded a couple of multiplayer missions from this site and extracted them to the MPMissions folder but I can not see them in the game, where do I look? I checked they didnt need any additional addons first...

Just had my first play online with my brother, was awesome.
Just couldnt work out how to lock onto enemy aircraft! Only seemed to be able to lock onto tanks on the ground... hmmm

daaaamn...

if i have addons in my addons folder can i leave them in there while i uninstall? Will they remain in the folder, or should I just cut and paste them elsewhere and re-copy them when I have reinstalled in the right order?

guys i got an error message on install because i have 1.14 installed and it said i needed to be on 1.08.
Do i need to reinstall the game and install 1.05, 1.08, QG, 1.14?

ah, so it seems it is possible but not necessarily worth it...
I saw queens gambit go on ebay for £3 last night, but wasnt sure if i'd end up paying the retain price for a 2nd copy for my brother. Now it seems that wouldnt be necessary, as long as its legal. Wish I'd have bought it for £3 as it seems that it can't hurt to have it installed...

Anyone else know if QG has a cd key of its own or if i'd be able to buy one to install on 2 pc's?

hi all, me and my brother have a copy of armed assault each with out own serial key each.
I was wondering if i bought one copy of queens gambit could i install it on both pc's as its just an add on, or does it need its own serial key for each pc like with the original game?

Also is it worth getting queens gambit in the first place with the amount of user made addons that are available on such great sites as this!

Hi all, thanks very much for your help with this.

The above post looks very comprehensive and hopefully somebody else will find it helpful. I personally found that the issue was because myself and my brother were trying to join the same game over lan (just us two) and we both had the same cd key so although my cd key is legit, I cheekily duplicated it for my brother which I thought was allowed.
I am now awaiting a 2nd copy of the game to arrive so we can get playing.

Now time to look through the addons directory and see what you guys have made for me!

hmmm I suppose until I get over this invalid cd key message I wont be doing any patches....?!

thanks guys, is there anywhere that actually tells you exactly what benefits I get from patching? I'm wondering if its worth it... I'm only going to play the game over lan with my brother and perhaps a bit of the single player game. Are there things like additional planes/weapons in the patches or is it all things like graphics improvements, fps improvements etc?

Hi guys, I'm new to this board and indeed the world of ArmA. I love Op FP and have only just discovered that ArmA exists. I have the game installed but am now met with a huge amount of patches to do. I am unsure of what order to do the patches in, or if i can just skip to the most recent one (I believe 1.14 but I'm probably wrong...)

My current version is 1.05, am i right in saying I just need to do 1.09, 1.09 and 1.14 in that order? Or can I skip the 1.08 and 1.09?

Hopefully someone won't mind helping with this as I'm looking forward to playing this game
