Are there any remaining happy campers still tweaking this old game? I know Aarma is the buzz now, i have em both, but actually still prefer OFP.
Just wandering. Any one know of any fan sites that still have the ball rolling in their forums and such. I finally managed to get one of my models in OFP using O2. It's old knews to most of you guys, but i'm glad iv'e at least maganged some slight understanding of LOD application with no help whatsoever. It was only a static of course, for starters.I'd mapped it in Max, a beautufully crafted bunked. First few test were ok, textures fine, but no collision! I thought what the feck do i do know. All i did was select the function to auto-find components. Fixed it. Fully animated humanoids and vehicles are next. Are there any tutorials that give explanations on what each LOD in terms of their PROPERTIES is for. Gemotetry is obviously assigned for collision detection. 'Fire Geometry?' Must be a manul for 'Objective light' or some sort of description. somewhere. Thanks for reading...............and hope you can help. Long live Ofp. -------------------- 'If your mechanical design, models or art look convincing, rest assured, i guarantee you they will probably work.'

The OFP section on the BI Forums are still used :
http://www.flashpoint1985.com/cgi-bin/ikon...gi?;act=SC;c=10 I guess you know http://ofp.gamepark.cz/ <-- however we are having problems keeping the site up to date (with this site and OFP2.info running already). Maybe we should try recruiting some OFP newsposters Concering your LOD problems : http://ofp.gamepark.cz/_hosted/brsseb/tutorials.htm -------------------- |
