Hi Folk,

A new modification for the game Armed Assault is born. It's the Somalian Crisis Mod.
Since the IMWM Modification does not exist's anymore; many ex IMW Mod members like RGG Stone or David moved to this mod because they wanted to offer a similar mod; with a much better team/mod atmosphere than IMWM Mod had (Since ACE merge).

Story:

We’re writing the year 1992. Operation “Restore Hope� failed and UN convoys are leaving the country. Mohammed Farah Aidid and his rebellion force grew up to an incredible level and since no US or UN forces are in the country anymore, they managed it to bring the government under their control.
As a Pakistani UN convoy was on its way to the border, opposition forces ambushed it.
4 UN soldiers left there lives the rest managed it to escape. As the Somali searched the wreck of an damaged UN truck they found parts of an nuclear device.
The device was immediately loaded to the new government with Mohammed Farah Aidid as leader with its place in Mogadishu, Central Somalia. 10 years they managed it to hide it. Year 2006: Iran wants to build an atomic device to force Israel to leave the pakistani area under the cover of an “Nuclear Power Plants System� but due the international pressure they cannot continue their program. After Mohammed Farah Aidid died the new leader; Akashi Nubuto took place as president and offered the device Iran.
It took 6 months to load the device and bring it via ship/truck to the Iran border.
January 2008: The Nato was calmed since Iran did not continue its program. Summer 2008: The Iran government dares to uncover its program and was confronted Israeli Air attacks immediately. But the Israeli Air attacks failed because their lead assumed that Iran would have its devices near the power plants.
2 weeks later Iran launches the missile…

The player starts as the US soldier “David Johnson� who’s heavily wounded in the battlefield and thinks back to 1992, how the war would look like; would the US Delta Forces managed it to capture Mohammed Farah Aidid and would have managed it to secure the device…

and you call it AK ???

the pictures that you show shows the same model that was shown on BIS forum, it has wrong shape, it is not AK 74, not even AKM (ribs on cover)

better focus on vehicles, units, buildings and use existing weapons packs released by other mods, cause AK that you show is not looking like AK:

if you have realistic story and scenario, better make new island, new objects, new vehicles, but don't do weapons that are not looking like real AKs, mod can be interesting but sometimes small details hurt mod's look

have you used google before puting this AK model here ???
use google and see how real AK looks

Yes. And you do know how many AK Versions there're outside?
Also the model is not finished, but I'd be happy if you're able to tell which exactly does not look like an AK m

what exactly is not right ?
you really see no differences between photos and model ???
compare yourself mesh of model by pushing as background photo of real AK and use google to see right and left side of receiver
making model on photo of real gun makes modeler bigest help :]
when real gun photo is in background, proportions are good and details are in right position

model of AK shown on pictures is not right , just look at real gun pictures using Google Images search option :]

Concerning the story...

Why would the UN be transporting Nuclear Arms? It doesn't really seem like the sort of thing they're really into...
