What? We don't have one AFAIK...
OK, we shall begin. Who's your favourite comic character? Why? Especially if he's a bit less well-known, some form of info is desired (Wiki seems to have articles on most Marvel and DC characters). Mine... well atm is a choise between two Marvel characters: Deadpool and Gambit. They're both athletic, slightly different from most of the characters, witty and "slightly insane". Gambit doesn't carry a parachute in his chestplate for no reason; he's resolted into using it few times. Both prefer hand-to-hand combat or simply blowing stuff up. Deadpool Deadpool is a skilled mercenary and assassin. He gained his superpowers via the same military program that resulted in Wolverine, and they share quite a few abilities, most notably their strength and healing ability - Deadpool has been known to blow off parts of himself and regenerate them, and he has also been decapitated; they just put his head back on its place and it reattached. Why'd I choose him? He uses "traditional" methods of fighting - katanas, guns and explosives, and is highly skilled with them. He's kind of like Wolverine, but less grunty, down-to-earth, and more crazy. He's insane, literally, a virtue which has been stated many times. But the insanity is his best virtue, as his (constant) dialogue is filled with black humor, witty comments and his comments regarding his status as a comic character. If you liked Jack Sparrow, you might just like him too. -------------------- Hakkaa päälle Pohjan poika!
Words were coming out of my fingertips faster than my thoughts could process them in my brains... My plead is for temporary insanity that was caused by permanent insanity of very, very twisted nerve cluster that's called brain matter, that's supposed to be grey but isn't, it's black and has a somewhat sarcastic and dark sense of humor, or lacks it totally. The self-appointed God of Scor Nango. Not an emperor, just... God. |

I think you could add Mangas . Ummmm... I classify Manga as comics. As for the characters, as long as it's comic (graphic novel) based it's OK... actually I've only read one comic featuring Deadpool (kind of a Marvel mash-up it was), but liked his style instantly. -------------------- Hakkaa päälle Pohjan poika!

I did read aplenty of comics and still own a bunch of them - somewhere buried under this chaos that is called 'my room'. My favourite ones were the Donald Duck- Comics made by Don Rosa (the only serious illustrator of Disney Comics), and those Tintin-comics by Herge.

Yeah, Don Rosa's "sorta" popular here in Finland. Excellent stories and all those details... and DUCKhunt!

The way he illustrates his comics beats the pants off all other Disney illustrators. Yeah... he's the best but there are few good ones. Carls for the age and few I've forgotten. Dug up more Donald Duck magazines... year 2001 was quite good, I'm starting to read the 4th Don Rosa story now! Off to hunt DUCK... Also bought V for Vendetta today... will prolly read it this weekend. Also looked at Miller's 300 but didn't buy it; 23 euros for something that thin is kinda hefty. -------------------- Hakkaa päälle Pohjan poika!
