Italian Special Operation Forces v1.01 Options

Hi all,

I’ve updated my Italian Special Operation Forces to version 1.10.

After updating my US Army Special Forces and US Army Rangers packs is the time to update my Italian SOF too.
In this update, as for previous packs, I’ve totally redone the multicam texture, in order to get them closer to RL pattern, and make them blending better in the different environments.
The Units will be found in the editor under BLUFOR >> Italian SOF,(same for the groups), sorted by the different camouflage of the uniforms and gear:

- SOF Ranger(Vegetata): for temperate environment.
- SOF Ranger(Desert): for desert environment.
- SF(Multiland): for both desert and temperate environments.
- SF Light Gear Recon units: same as SF but in lightweight gear.
- SF/SOF(Winter): for snow covered environment.
- SF Ghillie sniper\recon units: in desert , temperate and winter camos.
- GIS: MP Special Forces in CQB nomex suite.
- NOCS: Police HRT in CQB nomex suite
- GOI(Wood/Multicam): Navy Special Forces in woodland and multicam camo.
- Support Units : Italian pilot and crew .

As always please report feedback, advices, problems or any ideas… I’ll be happy to keep working and improving the pack…thanks to all of you for the support and appreciation you gave me!

Changelog v.1.10:

v1.10 date 02/Apr/2010

-Totally redone “multicam” textures.
-Fixed ghillie spotter textures.
-Added multicam combat shirts.

Installation.

Put the addons in the "mod folder" of your preference, you will find the units in the editor under:
Bluefor – Italian SOF (sorted by different camos and gear)
you'll find groups also under:
Bluefor - Italian SOF (as above).

ACE2 files Installation.

- file: "mas_ita_spec_ACE2_cfg_repl.pbo"
You can use the OPTIONAL ACE2 CONFIG that you'll find in the "ACE2 config" folder that replace IT SF weapons with the ACEX ones, and add some of the great ACE2 stuff (like gasmask, balaclavas, ecc...), this way my IT SF classes will be automatically replaced.

- file: "mas_ita_spec_ACE2_new_cfg.pbo"
If you have problems using the previous file, look inside "ACE2 congif >>> backup ACE config (new classes) " : there you'll find another replacement file that instead of overwriting my IT SF classes, create new ones ( BLUFOR>>> Italian SOF ACE) using ACEX weapons and equipment (same as above).

IF YOU WANNA USE THOSE FILES ACEX IS REQUIRED.
both files are SIGNED, choose the best solution for you, BUT REMEMBER TO USE ONLY ONE AT A TIME!!!

Replacement files Installation.

In the folder "replacement files" you'll find 3 different replacement, one replace only the force recon units with the Italian ones, the other 2 replacement replace all the USMC units with Italian models, you can choose to use the Woodland (vegetata) or the Desert one.

AS SAID ABOVE USE ONLY ONE AT A TIME !!!

Bugs.
Tested both in vanilla game and in ACE2, everithing is working well, without any errors in RPT or sort of problems.

I've reworked the "multiland" and "multicam" textures , and I've to say I'm really happy with this new textures...they look to me really similar to the real ones.
This time I'll try to upload the new file on filefront too, in order to avoid problems on rapidshare.

Hi all,

As announced I'm releasing the version 1.04 of my Italian SOF.

There are big changes in textures, I've to say I'm quite happy about the work on texture and I think they're improved a lot...but we'll see what do users think about them !

I'll wait for any ideas, or suggestions, or solutions to eventual problems spotted by users.

New Upcoming version Update


Hi all,

I've some good news for the upcoming update of my Italian SOF units.

First of all I've solved a really annoying bug afflicting the units, that seems nobody noticed.

I found It a few ours ago...but I've already found the solution and fixed it!

It was in every units, but more visible in the WINTER ones... look at the pics:

The units were effectivly WHITHE in the first LODS, but increasing distances and decreasing LODs the became GREEN :

...pretty much self explaining .

I forgot to retexture the Low Res textures...so that's it...BUG SOLVED !!!

It was really annoying, expecially playing with greenish units (supposed to be withe ) in snow covered environment.
