Maybe Bieber is some secret service's sinister device to control the masses! He must have some occult technology installed in his body that produces a field of controlling energy or something! I mean - in earlier days it took meaningful lyrics, poetry in fact to make 35 year old housewives and 15 year old teenagers alike crack up. Whereas the lyrics of the average Bieber song apparently boil down to "I love you oh oh oh oh (...)". -------------------- |

You seem to be very knowledgeable on the subject, rather worryingly And all the rest of us are super beings who's minds are impartial from goverment control? I don't know what you're talking about, there is absolutely no government control or censoring! In the UK with its slow but constant erosion of civil rights? I cannot tell. Shut up and move along citizen -------------------- |

The obvious evidence for this is that it takes about 20 people to write these "lyrics". -------------------- The Rules - Nothing too complicated, follow these and we'll have no problems.

Why yes but is that a recent development or has the population of this lovely planet always consisted of imbeciles by and large? You seem to be very knowledgeable on the subject, rather worryingly Ironically when I hit the add reply-button I already knew someone would respond in the manner you did and I also thought if someone did it would have to be you! ^ I want this smiley back, by the way. The rofl-smiley this board has is effing stupid, we should definitely go to replace it in favour of my suggestion. -------------------- |

Why yes but is that a recent development or has the population of this lovely planet always consisted of imbeciles by and large? The second one. Only the problem nowadays... well, Asimov said it far better than I ever could: QUOTE There is a cult of ignorance in the United States, and there has always been. The strain of anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that "my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge. And thanks to globalization, it gets exported over here! -------------------- The Rules - Nothing too complicated, follow these and we'll have no problems.

Interesting -- I mean, they produce more Nobel laureates than any other nation on Earth and yet Asimov is right, this very beacon of scientific prowess is about to give Creationism precedence above science in schools. Think it's something that lies rooted in their history? For the first ~150 years in their nation's history Americans isolated themselves from the rest of the world and then they rose to dominate over it, both being states which simply do not require the average Joe on the streets to know stuff.

Damn right. Keep MI6 on standby to make sure he stays out. I dunno, isolate him and weaponize his sheer obnoxiousness and I think we may have a stand in / potential replacement for trident. In the mean time, he's your problem now everyone else. Do not say now you have it too! Or is something wrong with your father? The cancer that runs in my family finally got my grandad today. All that suffering and fighting to what end? All he wanted was just not to feel pain anymore. I suppose atleast he finally got that. I got diagnosed with the barricks disease a couple of months ago. -------------------- Win. Seriously. |
