If you are on exercise with an old BTR, attractive women will suddenly lust for you? And despite riding topside, your fatigues will remain pristine?

It says "Contract" on the translation... so might just be a job ad? Trust me, even conscription armies advertise quite a lot... it's called propaganda. Maybe not the type you'd usually think to be military propaganda, but hell, it still is IMHO.

I got a little bored of my style of wallpapers (1 & 2), so I decided to work on a style that is completely new to me.
I was inspired by the style of a wallpaper I posted a while back in the Desktop/Wallpapers thread, so I made one in a similar style. I don't know if there's a name for the style, the closest one I can think of is "abstract". And I've got the inspiration for the next one already (abstract as well, though not a "world" view like this one) Also available in 16:9 format here [here]. Fun Fact: Yakov Smirnoff never actually said "In Soviet Russia".

The inspiration worked out in a semi-satisfactory way (may spot something that I want to fix later on, the key to which is not look at your work for a few days to make the flaws stand out). Mixed some things, ancient Greek style of drawing the hair (realistically painted hair would look out of place, I tried it), linedrawing, spicing up the characters etc.
Also available in 16:9 format [here]. Now also available in 16:9 format is the [previous wallpaper]. Easily done if you remember to leave some spaces at the top and bottom of the wallpapers that you can afford to cut off (which I always forgot about). Great artwork, but to be honest none of the kind I'd choose as a wallpaper...

Great artwork, but to be honest none of the kind I'd choose as a wallpaper... Can't please everyone Also I don't have this kind of wallpaper on my desktop either, was just bored with my old style and looking for a new challenge. I've had the same wallpaper for years. It's a simple one I downloaded in 4:3 format, and reworked to 16:9. [Link] What's your preferred type of wallpaper? Next is the Christmas banner, which I am going to make animated (doesn't have Happy New Year in it, so an animated gif is going to take care of that). Found something called "Literal Version" music videos. I looked at several, but [this one] was the best.
On an explanatory note: The Monkees were fake as hell, didn't play any instruments, and AFAIK didn't sing "their" songs either, as this video points out. -------------------- |
