Just played the first part of the campaign, and can say it looks good, feels okay, but iam missing the good old OFP days, it dont feel realistic and the story line isent told like in good old days.
allso iam missing cut sceens? not many of them to tel a story, the campaing feels at this point not like a BIS creation.
And i dont get a soldier feel to it, the old games realy feelt like soldier simulation, this one is more like MoH/CoD or something like that.
or maybe iam just geting nostalgic... and by the way, 3hours and 14min on hardest setting? you got to be kiding me :S

Am i the only one?

I quite liked it. Though, yeah, the missions felt too short (I don't think any of them lasted more than 20 minutes), hopefully that's just because this was the "Stratis campaign". (not really much of an excuse, given that Stratis is about the same size as the OFP islands...)

Ok, spoiler time!
How great would it have been if the entire CSAT faction was just a massive red herring and the AAF were the only bad guys?

Really didn't like the death valley mission. It's a really lazy rehash of the showcase mission, and since everyone's played that, it completely kills any feeling of suspense. They didn't even switch up the positions of the enemy troops...

Yes of course, the whole "hey wait what's happening, we must flee..." thingy. But i agree that the camp Maxwel missions are less immersive. I see the first part of this campaign more like an introduction for newcomers.
