Pretty poor taste whether you agree with her policies and personality or not. As a pseudo-Welshman, I am both horrified and offended that you can say something like that. -------------------- The Rules - Nothing too complicated, follow these and we'll have no problems.

Why? Granted that I'm not British, but from where I'm standing she looks like one of Britains greatest premiers.
And surely she outclassed her successors in office, the dorks Brown and Blair in particular. -------------------- |

And surely she outclassed her successors in office, the dorks Brown and Blair in particular. Not just successors. Chamberlain, Eden, Macmillan, Heath, Callaghan, Blair, Brown. And that's just from the 1930's onwards. All douchebags with flawed internal policies that utterly failed and brought the country to the brink of economic ruin, and then there's the matter of foreign affairs ... The only difference is that Thatcher promised stern measures to combat problems during her campaigns and actually followed up on them. Just imagine the shock the average voter must have experienced at the majority vote actually being listened to -------------------- |

where I'm standing she looks like one of Britains greatest premiers. Ahem. (of course, I can see why you might have issues with him ) As for Thatcher, something about the government breaking up miner strikes (the breaking usually being in a more literal sense). -------------------- The Rules - Nothing too complicated, follow these and we'll have no problems.

Ahem. (of course, I can see why you might have issues with him ) I don't. That was a pretty cheap punchline, by the way... 'One of Britains greatest' clearly isn't 'the greatest'.

Should I be sad? Hell, a great leader? Of course, sell everything to private companies, ignore the workers pleas, of course most media will say that she was great, economic liberty works for them.
To hell with that woman, Reagan and the same line of politicians. |

Also the socialism Force is strong in that one I'll take socialism over "victorian values" any day of the week, thank you very much! (Also "Butthurt"? Seriously? I had no idea you were a twelve year old.) -------------------- The Rules - Nothing too complicated, follow these and we'll have no problems.

And you're very free to do so, nevertheless it's kind of silly to lecture others about how to be civil in the wake of Maximo Liders death one week and wish someone to hell the other over the very same reasons.
I saw pics of the Bristol riots 'celebrating' Thatcher's passing yesterday, loved how they proved she was right. -------------------- |

Hardly surprising that someone who wrecked the lives of so many is being vilified. To some she was a strong willed hero and to others she was a real nasty piece of work. I saw all the sparks flying between friends discussing this on facebook yesterday. Personally I don't feel I know enough about her politics to hold much of an opinion, but I do know she certainly pissed off a lot of usually well mannered folk.

Of course she did "piss off people". Much as Germany's Schröder did in the 2000s or like Mitt Romney would've done had he been elected. Axing social security benefits never is popular among those who live off it...
