Greetings.

I love battlefield 2. Its forgiving. its unrealistic. and the most important thing of all, is that its fun. Unlike Operation flashpoint where you die after one shot.

Personally i havent armed assault thinking that i might be just another operation flashpoint with new updates.

due to the hype of arma 2, im thinking, it might be a good time to play arma. but i dont like the one shot one kill. makes the game veeery tedious and not fun.

so my question is, are there any mod that forgiving like battlefield 2?

Thanks.

The majority of players in this community like ArmA and OFP for their "realism" so I doubt you'll find much if anything arcade like.

There is none. The gameplay of OFP and ArmA is the series' most eminent capital and the reason why their fans play the games, so if you don't appreciate the gameplay I'd suggest you stay with Battlefield 2. wink.gif

It isn't hard to mod though. You'll just need to edit a few numbers in the config and voilá. I think some of vilas' addons have greater armor values, so it'll take more than one shot to kill infantry if shot on the torso from a distance.

Guess what? ArmA (and OFP) are war simulations and so far war never has been fun. Showing that is exactly what the developers had in mind.
As I started with OFP 7 years ago I too hated it for the one hit = kill realism, just get used to it.

Besides that, I sometimes take 2 hits in ArmA without getting instantly killed. It's just a matter on where they hit you.

As for a Battlefield Mod for ArmA... __yuk.gif
If you love BF2 that much, why don't go and play BF2 instead, no there is no such a mod even though some people seem to play it as if there is one. glare.gif

Bah, you are over reacting.
First of all, it's a f*cking game, it only can be boring if it's bad/you don't like it. And if you are one of us (ArmA Community) you like war.

Also, ArmA is far from being a simulator, it's a horrible game, bad optimization, bad movement, and many more. But, it's the best "simulator" in the market.

Also, he wasn't demanding it, or saying that ArmA is a "sh*tty game", he just said that he doesn't like "one-shot one-kill".

If you love BF2 (and assuming you own it too), you may as well try the Project Reality mod http://www.realitymod.com/ it still BF2 but it's trying to be more of a simulator like ARMA.

It is trying to make BF2 more realistic and I have to say I only bought a copy of BF2 just to play PR (it was only 10 dollars for a copy so well worth the price). I can't stand ARMA MP (Too much focus on co-op, and with Arma's AI being horrible its left a bad taste) and you hit the nail on the head when you say you think ARMA is just OFP with updates... (At least that's my opinion).

I don't wanna see this thread turning into an overheated "BF vs OFP" discussion. Further aggressive replies will be considered as flaming and dealt with accordingly.

This thread is just descending into an ever deeper pit of off-topic-ness...

May I humbly ask what part of my reply was incomprehensible to you? Consider yourself as warned, with three exclamation marks behind that warning.
