Creating Explosions, How do I create IED explosions etc. using triggers |

In the original OFP I was able to create explosions via triggers. ie. using triggers to simulate artillery fire on a position etc.
In OFP used - unitname = "shell125" camcreate getpos name This does not appear to work in ArmA and I'm sorry if I got the above a bit wrong, I'm on a minesite and going off memory. What I would like to do in ArmA is have a convoy going down a street then having some kind of IED explosion. Any help would be greatly appreciated, I hope I have explained myself well enough. Moving to Mission Editing & Scripting.
Armed Assault doesn't use the same ammo as in OFP. Here's the complete list of the Armed Assault weapons and ammunation, where you can find the explosives to use. |

same question: the camcreate method doesn't seem to work in ArmA even with the right ammoclass-names

Use the createvehicle command. It's just like the camcreate. I think it goes like:-
_bomb = "ammo_name" createvehicle getpos target |

I get the code to work, however, it causes some crap to show up on the screen stating Error Local Variable in Global Space. How do I get rid of that?!

How are you doing it?
If you are putting that code straight into a trigger or a units init line then you don't need the underscore before the name just "bomb1" CODE bomb1="Bo_GBU12_LGB" createvehicle getpos targetname But if you made it into a script then you would use the underscore CODE ~3
_bomb1="Bo_GBU12_LGB" createvehicle getpos cone1 ~0.3 _bomb2="Bo_GBU12_LGB" createvehicle getpos cone2 ~0.3 _bomb3="Bo_GBU12_LGB" createvehicle getpos cone3 exit -------------------- |
