Rescue the MP, What to do? Options

Lo folks,

I remember doing this for ofp when i got fed up with all the hackers and spammers on ofp gamespy several years ago so i thought id come on here and say it and see what we can come up with.
Ive only been playing the MP side of ArmA now for 9 days - I've only had ArmA 2 weeks. In those 9 days I have witnessed the scum playing that has killed BF2 and CS. The reason why I have put this post in the main ArmA forum is becuase instead of ranting about my problems id like to discuss with the intire community how we can move now to fix it, if there is a fix, before we loose our main MP arena to the idiots.

The Findings:
This is so far what i have experainced on ArmA online. Im not saying that these hacks are there. Im saying that after 6 years of playing ofp that this is what i believe to be out there that i have seen:

• Wallhack - "where all your friends show up as blue and the enemy as red and you can see them through all the walls". Some clear indications of wallhack i've seen include people waiting for me to come round corners. Rediculus high scores on DM's and several funny instances where hackers with m249's have shot the end of a wall before I have got to it.
  
• CornerHack - "Automatically puts you up next to corners to look round while showing nothing to the enemy". Most of the time people claim its just 'skill' being able to run up to the edge of the corner and being able to look round perfectly every time without showing anything. I thought it was odd in ofp untill someone gave me the link to download their version of 'cornerhack'.
  
• AnimHack - "Allows you to make movements without all the animations and removes gun wobble". Ever had someone run round a corner on you, lie down, roll once and shoot you in the time it takes you to pull the trigger? Or had some one just 'run through you' and kill you without stopping? thats Animhack.
  
• SpawnHack - "Enables the user to spawn anywhere he wants on the map with a click". This hack also works sometimes by ignoring the death scripts and spawning you on the same spot u just died on. Ever killed some one only for them to still be there and kill you?

Along with these Hacks there are the real hackers. The people who are using their servers as a way of getting hold of your ips and hacking into your PC. Ive had quite a few attacks now from playing ArmA online. The same levels of attacks i havnt seen since my BF2 MP days. Loosing control of the mouse, screen freezing yet my computer loading and finding my DT changed to violent p0rn are just some of the intrusions ive had. Most only fixable by pulling the plug on my pc and resetting the router for a new ip.

Yes people will laugh at me. "Hacks arnt in ArmA, get some skill you fking noob". Thats what people said to me in the beggining of MP on BF2 as well. Armed Assault is about the honor and bragging rights. Not who has the best hacks.

The Possible Fixes:

This is where you come in. Is there anything we can do as a million strong community to win back our MP area? Im thinking it would be easy for say Bohemia to include a small script in 1.06 to kick tkers after 3 tks and block thier ip for 30mins from that server. Also for admins to take more responciablity for the users of their server in reguards to hacks.
The global ban list was a good idea but it has been abused as I am witness to. Im banned from 90% of the servers online becuase of, as it turns out, a french bloke who has been putting all english people on his list who have joined his server.
Are there any scripts we could make, like on BF2 now and with ofp before, where your server can detect and identify hacks running and kick/block the user.
Any other ideas?

I say all this with a plea to the awsome dudes at Bohemia to look at what their ArmA MP section is becoming. Yes there wil always be the twats who TK to annoy but not on the same scale as say Codemasters games.....

Yeah, those cheats are very annoying. Especially when you want to have a serious game.
Not only are cheats annoying, but so are the TK'ers and whatnot. Almost every time I play "Air Cavalry" by Sgt. Ace on the 16AA server, some twat comes along and blows up the hangers which hold the planes and trucks, plus any other vehicles he can find. Or he creates a huge TK fest with everyone trying to get equal. Ah well, I guess good graphics attracts these types of people, I doubt it's anything else...

I had the same experience as Zipper5 on "Air Cavalry" by Sgt. Ace on the 16AA server, that night I was playing SF doing the job and at last I have been killed and respawn in the middle of a gigantic TK battle at base, hangars, choppers, tanks, trucks, all vehicles destroyed. After beeing TKed 3 times I quit, that not the game I want to play with ArmA. Need to have sever with filters, passwords and superAdmin ... too bad, but probably necessary?

the servers are filled with team killers at the moment. F***ing annoying, especially when theres no re-spawn.

and i was thinking that my situation is bad when i could run ArmA on my pc....
As said before , when the game wont be the newest of all and better graphic mp games will appear , these kids will leave .
And i recommend as said in other topic that we might need passworded server only for our community members.

Well, for OFP my clan have a filter that detect Cheaters and automatically kick them off...
