Hey Guys, really looking forward to the release of Arma.... just a shame we got to wait a bit longer in the UK!
Is there any info on how the new command sytem works in Arma? or have they kept it the same as OFP? Regards, Pondlife. |

I think he means commands such as "Flank Right" and "Go, Go, Go!"
If you look at most of the vids out atm, they all look practically the same as ofp in terms of command menus. |

I heard it's just like in Flashpoint, but as BigglesTrevor said, you will be able to command bigger groups. I also heard they removed some useless commands and maybe added some new ones.

let's hope there will be some hierarchy... a comander has groups to command "attack this town, this convoi", a squadleader "get in postion, fall back into formation"

Hm, well, the radio from the videos suggest that the command system is more refined than OFP's. But the radio messages that were changed for OFP: Elite seem to be in ArmA now. Good thing to, OFP: Elite's radios made much more sense and sound much more... I guess... like a person would say it, than origional OFP's do.

from the arma vidios the radio chatter sounds strange. people have accused it of being bad voice acting, i disagree, i like the voices, it just changes pitch a bit too much for my liking. its just like old football games when they say .........(players name)...... *pause* IS ON THE BALL!

i don't really like the loud bleep at the start of EVERY radiomessage...what a damn noise, it's louder than the damn guns...
however, can't wait to get my hands on the game
